RE: Under counter coffee maker

I'll keep my good old 15+ B & D Spacemaker. Those two hour shut offs were put in because to may fools would forgot or lazy to turn them off after the last cup or morning breakfast. I remember my mother-in-law some years back hardly ever turned off her coffee pot before noon and then reheat coffee in the mircowave the rest of the day.
I am neither a fool or lazy....when your coach goes up in flames, I will email a I TOLD YOU SO....good luck

RE: Fried Transmission in 2009 Ford Escape

the above is the reason I went to putting th 2010 Escape on a tow dolly...I bought it for the 4 down tow, but after talking to a couple of Ford Transmission techs, they had replaced a bunch of transmissions, I went to the dolly...Ford needs to fix the problem or revise their owner's manual to...not built for 4 down towing...IMOP as an owner of a Ford Escape..

RE: Under counter coffee maker

I replaced my B&D that came with the rv...it did not have a thermal cut off...most coffee makers shut off after two hours...the OE B&D did not...I now have one that sits on the counter...you might want to check to see if yours has the auto turn off...good luck...PS I threw the one I took out in the trash.....or I would let you have the parts

RE: Battery drain on 2001 Dakota

I towed an 05 Dakota for two years and didn't have a problem...even the Brake Buddy plugged in worked with the key in the ACC position...I never pulled a fuse ....just made sure everything was turned off and the key was in the correct position..yes, the owner's manual says trans case in neutral and the transmission in park...the owner's manual is the best source of info..follow it and all will work out...good luck

RE: Tow Dolly Question

having done both the 4 down and tow dolly way, I now have the tow dolly on which I tow a 10 Ford Escape, FWD,I haven't had a problem with storage on the thing at the camp grounds...If the camp spot is a back in, I manually or hook the Ford to the dolly and put it in first and then back the RV over the tongue of the dolly...or I have took the Ford off the dolly and backed it in still attached to the RV, using the rear view camera, not difficult....but I like the dolly...we are thinking about getting out of the RV business and if I had put a base plate on the new vehicle, it would have been a waste of $1000..this was maybe I can sell the dolly and recoop some of the investment...good luck, but I havent had any problems with the dolly...

RE: towing mishap

was it the tow bar fault, or the steep grade ....if you jammmed the tail of the rv , then if you have a spare tire hung under the rear, check the spare...I ruined my spare this way....good luck

RE: Pre wired for break control?????

what are you going to tow...if it is a dolly with electric brakes, you might want to look at the EZbrake..(they have a web site) the devise hooks onto the tongue of the tow dolly and operates off the brake lites....I have been very satisified with my EZ brake......it saved a lot of time and trouble on the installation...installs in 5 minutes and works like a dream...good luck..if you want info...PM me

RE: ethanol in gas

keep buying the oil and burning the gasoline that was produced from foreign oil..me I will gladly give up that 1-2 mpg if we can dump the need for foreign oil...but some can't seem to let go of the old tech....so be it...keep the arabs in business...

RE: Walmart RV/Marine batteries

I have had the batteries from Wally World in the RV for 3 years and still going...makes one wonder..perhaps someone don't keep them "topped" off or charged...mine is hooked to a Battery Tender when I am not driving it...maybe that is the trick.

RE: Additional "washing RV" Question

I clean the front of bugs and the windshield...use a 5 gal bucket and a mesh covered sponge....then I wax the area...haven't had anyone complain...I just don't like to leave the bugs on there to long, makes them harder to remove...good washing to you
