RE: Where has everyone gone?

Probably because when someone does post anything on this forum they either get (1) Slammed (2) told that they are an idiot, or (3) it gets closed by the Moderators for good reasons. Why bother, you know where topic is going to go before it even gets started! Now duck…….:(

RE: Window awning pull strap

very easy to replace. If your awning does not have a widened portion on the slot to insert the new strap just drill a 5/16" hole at one end of the groove so you can slip the broken part out and the new one in. I carry 2 extra window awning straps and 1 extra main awning strap at all times and have given a couple away to neighbors at CG's when theirs broke. This was great info, made for a quik and easy fix!!:B:B Thanks again....

RE: Where is the HR Endeavor primary fuel filter?

The air dryer filter is short and fat, about 6" high and about 5" across, the Air dryer will turn on at the bottom of the filter. The fuel filters are both about the same size 9" high and about 3" across; the Primary will have a 2" cup (water separator) at the bottom, with a thumb wheel drain on the bottom of the cup. The Fuel filters will spin on at the top of the filter. I have seen many Primary filters on 04 Endeavor’s that are black from over spray of the undercoat.

RE: Where is the HR Endeavor primary fuel filter?

The filters are located in the driver side compartment just behind the rear wheels, it is the vented compartment with the barrel key lock, open the door up and swing the coil to the front, behind the coil, straight back, bolted to the frame is the filters, if there is only one (primary) that is all the filters that were installed, mine has 2 right beside each other (primary and secondary). If the secondary is not right beside the primary you not need to search any more, Monaco did not play hide and seek with them.

Window awning pull strap

Has anyone replaced the window awning pull strap? Mine broke right at the roller tube. It is made by Carefree. I guess I can buy one at the RV Dealer.

RE: Skype Phone

We have Hughes on a tripod and talk to our son over in Australia with minor lag time, we are very impressed, we were so happy with it we bought all our kids a webcam for Christmas so we can see the Grandchildren more often.

RE: Towing Jeep Wrangler

Some states and Canada require them. And if you are in an accident, your fault or not, the first thing the lawyers will want to know is “did the MH have an auxiliary brake system”?

RE: Motorhome tail swing

DW standing at rear of coach watches all tail swings, stops me if there is to much. I have not hit anything yet using this method.

RE: Bug cleaning concocktion?

I use "Awesome" from the Dollar store, Spray on, wait a few minutes till the bugsguts start to run down the front, then just use the RV brush to remove the rest. I have been useing it on our MH for four years now with no side effects. Front of the coach looks as good as when new.

RE: Monaco Diplomat (2004) Air Bags Questions

I press the switch down to dump the air and then slip a pencil under the switch to hold it on, and go do other setup stuff, when I get back, air is down and I just slip the pencil out. :D

RE: Problems Volunteering for NPS

We have volunteered at NFS, NPS and NWR’s, we were told by management at all places we work that we did a good job and that they could not operate the parks without volunteers. We felt the most comfortable working with staff at NWR’s they did not make you feel as if you were taking a paying job from someone. At NFS and NPS the paid staff had the attitude that if I was doing their job, they could just sit there and watch me. NWR staff supported you with Tools, suggestions, and most importantly Manpower when you need help with your job.

RE: MH accident - miracle no one killed....

I think that the muffler is on the wrong side to be a Monaco product. All Monaco’s I've seen are on the driver side; this one appears to be on the passenger side.

RE: sewer hoses?????

We fulltime so our hose is out all the time, The 4yr old Blueline got a crack in the connector, I sent Blueline an email complaining about the broken connector which is glued in to the hose and they sent me a new hose with new connectors attached. RE: Holiday Ramblers

We have been members for 4yrs. We belong to a Michigan club (that has all type of rigs that HR makes), where we lived before full timing and hit several of their campouts each summer. We also belong to the 419 and make that one on the trip back north every year. We have met some of the nicest people in the clubs and some that are very knowledgeable about HR products. We joined FMCA for 3 years but dropped out; we could never connect with anyone in that group

RE: Monaco signs asset sale with Navistar

As is usual a lot of rumors with no links to actual facts other than the OP. Attending an HR rally and listening to your neighbors does not constitute any facts! Navistar has not yet said what they will build at the plants nor when that will happen. Redfox mentions a memo. Was that a memo from one HR owner to another? Do youyhave a copy of that memo. I dont think they will be building anything yet as there is still a lot of unsold inventory at Monaco and on dealer lots. There must be a lot of very unhappy Monaco dealers who are owed a lot of money. Will these dealers continue to sell Monaco products if they become available? Lots of unanswered questions. Navistar has not stated that they will consolidate any brand names. Actually they have not stated very much. Some of these rumors may come to pass but in the meantime they are worth diddly! Personally I hope that the rumors in this thread become truth!! Moisheh Funny, I can’t find one reference to a memo in my post!! Never said I seen a memo. Just inside words from a good source that you will not find in print anywhere yet. We all just have to wait for the day to come that they are allowed to make it official. As you say it is just rumors till then, I didn’t try to make it anything more. Take or leave it. Time will tell in short order. I may be right, I may be wrong, we’ll see.
