RE: NO POWER IN HILLS

Mine did the same and found that the tank had rusted out and clogged the line before the filter and starved the moter going up-hill.$2600.00 later runes great now. ( of course Monico was in chapt 11 when this was found) My filter looked good and clean when removed. What I noticed was the turbo boost gauge droping as I was climbing and the engen was starving.

RE: New Monaco LLC offering warranty plan for 310 bucks.

I have Prism that I paid a lot of money for when I bought my coach less than 2 years ago and when I had to replace my fuel tank they said they would not cover it because it was not a break down item. This would Have been covered if I had found it before Monaco filed chapter 11. I am still fighting trying to get this covered.

Rubber roof

I was looking at my roof om my motor home and noticed that around the vents and stuff it was curling up and cracking as if it was some kind of tape.I need to repair this before winter and was woundering if someone had any ideas on what I need to do to fix this problem. I was thinking cutting and sanding these edges and placing some new rubber roof sealent on or is their a better way to do it. Thanks

Set-up for Hummer H3

I'm looking to tow my H3 and would like to find a set-up that can be installed (if possable)where the front tow "D" rings are already mounted on this car. Anyone make something like this?

RE: Monaco ( rust in fuel tank)

The hole that would be cut into the tank are to clean around the baffels not because of an area that has rusted through .At $115.00 an hour it seems cheaper to replace the tank than have someone spend a day trying to get in all th little corners, plus peace of mind. Now all I have to have the shop do is blow all the lines clean and replace filters.I hope this is the right choice because I have already replaced all the injectors and pump last time it was in another shop.I replace the sensor on the visit before last. I really want this behind me so I can get out and enjoy camping again.

RE: Monaco ( rust in fuel tank)

The reason I'm going with the new tank is because it will be cheeper and a lot less trouble than cutting about 4-8 inch holes in this tank so someone can scrap and clean the tank. Then Have to weld all the new holes back together.I like the idea of a fresh start on this one.

RE: Monaco ( rust in fuel tank)

So far they say about $2300.00 for new tank, filters and lines cleaned. This is also the filters and lines going to the Gen. I'm going to see if I can get a valve to drain water from the tank.

RE: Monaco ( rust in fuel tank)

Just got a call from the shop and was told it was not from fuel pumped into the tank but from water sitting in the bottom of the tank for a long time that rusted out the bottom of the tank. They are now building me a brand new tank with a coating to help prvent this from rusting out again. How that much water got into the tank I quess I'll never know.

RE: Monaco ( rust in fuel tank)

I also know not to get fuel when a tanker is off loading. I worked in a oil refinery for over thirty years. All I am saying is that the fuel you pump into your RV at the station should also be filtered at the pump. I have BIG chunks of rust in my tank pluging up the line even before the filter on my rig.

RE: Monaco ( rust in fuel tank)

It is an 06 (not sure when it was built)and I bought it in June of 07 so it sat on a dealers lot for some time and you know for sure they are not going to fill the tank to just have it sit. Then after it was purshed the tank is filled and was all that rust and stuff into the lines. Sounds about wright to me.

RE: Monaco ( rust in fuel tank)

Rust was to big to make it into the inlet of the filter.

Monaco ( rust in fuel tank)

I have a 2006 Cheetah made by Monaco with 8000 miles on it (had 3600 when bought new in June of 07 ) and have had nothing but trouble with it stalling and losing power on trips. I have had injectors and pumps replaced , new fuel filters and still have the same problem. It is now at Colton trucks and they removed the fuel filters that looked O.K. so they removed the fuel lines to the filters from the tank and found the fuel line plugged with big chunks of rust. It loos like it was fueled up from a old rusty 55 gal drum with no filters to catch the junk. Now they are pulling out my fuel tank and cleaning out all the lines to the motor and the gen. I know that this type rust could not have been pumped in from a nozel at a fuel station so I am woundering if my tank id rusting away from the inside ? Anyone else ever had this type problem? Thanks
