Goldwinger above hinted about the Mountain Marathon which is a big event in Seward on the 4th of July. Here's a link to some more info... http://www.sewardak.org/news-events/marathon/marathon.htm Seward definitely has a big crowd over the 4th and is a blast, if you like that sort of thing.
