RE: Silverthorne to Buena Vista Co?

I did not for get about 91 out of Copper Mountain... In my opinion with the hogged out mountain side at Climax Mine and the unsightly tailing ponds ... I do not find it the more scenic of the routes... ...but if you take this route, turn on your AM and dial in the narrative on the mine's history. Quite interesting.

RE: Silverthorne to Buena Vista Co?

24 south out of Minturn to Leadville to BV. or...9south through Frisco to Breck to 285 at Fairplay to 24 to BV. I like the first route better, but if you go through Breck watch your speed in Alma and Fairplay!!!

RE: I-70 closed in Colorado

Latest news - EB lanes may reopen (when - ?)... I still do not know it to be fact... I will confirm and post it when actually known. They may alternate routing (E&W) at intervals. (...where did you hear that info?)

RE: RV/ Truck Camper Repair in Colorado

It's a little more than what you wanted to travel... but Five Star RV in Brighton (just north of Denver) does repairs. Not sure of what your neck of the woods is like from where you came, but up here in the mountains, we are used to and kinda' resigned to having to drive distances greater than what most folks are used to having services and products locally.

I heard from a client who lives in GJ that there might be one lane open tonight, but I am still trying to confirm that... ...'nother photo: http://i39.tinypic.com/21nl1jr.jpg

RE: I-70 closed in Colorado

In some of the reports I have been hearing... CDOT will have to blast the rocks before moving them. I doubt they will pitch them in to the river... there is a bike path and river raft running in certain areas. Rocks thrown over could affect these activities.

RE: RV/ Truck Camper Repair in Colorado

I know of none in your are. There are none in Summit County either. Other than Denver that only one that I am aware of is Bob Scott's RV in Grand Junction.

RE: Rock and Roll

I have a Dodge Ram 2500 short box extended cab with a V-10 and it came with the factory over loads ... factory installed camper package i think its what it was called ... i can take pic's nolan What years are we discussing? 2002 and prior had the camper package as alluded to above. The 3G's dd not offer a camper package and the "overlaods" were 3500 only.

RE: Rock and Roll

Do you have factory overloads? I'm pretty sure only the Dodge 3500 has factory overloads. My 2500 didn't even have the holes drilled in the frame to accommodate factory overloads...would have been my first choice over adding to the leaf pack. That is correct... the "overloads" is what makes the difference for the 3500...(that and the "legal" sticker in the door jamb.) As the the OP's issue... Get and install an aftermarket sway bar. It is just silly that these do not come from the factory with one!

RE: Colorado RV/Boat/Travel/outdoor show - meet and greet?

Hey Brian, I was going to e-mail you asking what you were going to do... you made up my mind with your post. I can put off the slopes for a day and hit them on Sunday. Sounds like a plan. I have been skiing Breck and need to checkout the other areas... the 'Basin sounds great! I received a coupon for $1 off admission and just saw an ad on TV that $3 off tickets are available if purchased on line.

RE: Replacing the Dinette with a recliner or couch

SnowRiver had recliners in TC's as part of thier "Command Seating" option. The image gives an idea of what it looked like: http://i46.tinypic.com/153kzv9.jpg (image courtesy of Five Star RV)

RE: Best dealership or shows to see a variety of Truck Campers

Yes, I will be able to make this show now that I no longer have anymore studying to do. I look forward to this show every year... but I cannot bring my camper:( ...the only thing that would keep me from attending is the conditions up here... we are finally getting some "inconvenient truth" and the ski conditions are really quite excellent! And now that I passed I was thinking of hopping a plane to Mexico to stick my ass in the sand and drink adult beverages with little umbrellas in 'em. Not sure when that will happen. ...but perhaps we resurrect that thread of which you refer and maybe start a thread in that "other" forum?
