RE: Oil for Honda 2000i generators
Here's a link to the Honda EU 2000 manual. http://www.poweredgenerators.com/honda/manuals/31Z07603.pdf Recommended oil is 5/30, 10/30, and straight 30 — from below 40 F, 40F and on up, and 60F and up respectively. I run Mobil 1 5/30 synthetic in cold weather (makes a big difference in starting) and am considering running it year round. IIRC, where upper temperatures are concerned, the operative number is the upper one (thus no difference b/w 5/30 and 10/30 or 30) after things get warmed up.
