RE: Norcold Ice Maker not working after recall repair

I agree with Ivylog after the 1st batch the signal to open the water valve is sent to start the next cycle. You should not "have" to do this but it should work if all else is OK and seems you have pretty much checked everything.

RE: Disappointed in Camping World

Camping World likes to sell stuff "they" can install or carry out stuff like portable fire rings, beach chairs, converters, inverters mostly high margin items. Parts are limited to items "they" repair. Makes business sense they can call parts houses and have parts they don't stock delivered same day or overnight. Lot of their work is warranty work with parts furnished by the manufacture.

RE: HELP On Road Reduced Engine Power 2003 W 22 !!

Replace the fuel filter and by a few extra filters sounds like you have some bad fuel and you may go through several filters in a short period of time.

RE: Why do we have so many Ladybugs???

They are hard to get rid of and come back year after year at least mine do. The good news they cause no harm, are gone in just a few days and are good for gardens.

RE: Models where bed drops from ceiling above drivers seat.

Ours has it and for extended stays we drop it down for extra storage space. May not look great but it holds a lot of stuff that otherwise would be in the way, on beds or being constantly moved around. We are afraid to let anyone sleep there because it has no side rails and would be pretty easy to fall off.

RE: Phantom 12V problem

The battery disconnect switch may be corroding and building up resistance the other thought is the same thing with the main ground chassis point and or corroded battery terminals. All of the above can cause the problem.

RE: SurgeGuard on the ground?

If you hang it upside down all the electrons fall out the bottom.

RE: New Digital TV Antenna

I bought one of the "flat" ones from WM for the stick house it works some better than non amplified rabbit ears but I would not consider one for the RV. Just rewiring the thing would be a problem it is an all self contained unit and you would have to splice into the coax and power line. I have the Wineguard batwing with the Wingman attached and like someone else mentioned it works better cranked about half way up!

RE: High Mileage RV - Afraid to go long distance

Look at it another way. Assume you're attempting to sell it and I as a buyer asks you this question: "If I buy your motor home do you think I can get at least 2,400 miles out of it?" yes or no There you go...How would you answer this one???

RE: Innovatek WS-ATSC01 Digital ATSC USB to PC TV tuner

I have a Hauppauge that is pretty much the same works great for over the air TV. I haven't used it very often but it works great. You have to do a search if you change locations just like all new TV reception.

RE: Onan Marquis Gold 5500 Generator - Low AC Voltage

Other than measuring the speed and frequency it would seem you are on the right track. I hate troubleshooting by throwing parts at something however, sometimes you end up with a few spare parts that might come in handy later. I searched on that part number in Google lots of them from $99 to $129 probably not a bad part to have for a spare. I'm sure some shops could test but for how much is the question. look here

RE: How much harder does a truck work with bad shackles?

Worn shackle will not make the truck pull harder and a broken shackle most likely will leave you stranded until replaced.

RE: Power failure while deploying slide

Even if you run the TV it would take hours to charge the batteries back fully. So it sounds as if you depleted the batteries and need to give them a full charge.

RE: High Mileage RV - Afraid to go long distance

OK....What is the very worse that can happen should you have a break down?? A lot of folks in almost brand new shinny rigs have had major problems and ended up in motels for a few days but in the end they have made it home OK. For me "worse case" junk the thing and drive home in the toad.

RE: I won the lottery, well almost

Sounds like a really good deal to me. Heck $32K is a real "steal" for this kind of coach. I would buy it but I would feel so guilty I could not enjoy it.

RE: An interesting thing happened with my fridge...

Since you point out you were on gas what happens when on electric it could be the electric element is going bad. You do adjust the temp by sliding the thermostat up or down on the cooling fin but I don't remember which way to lower the temp.
