RE: Exterior cleaning - what to use?,.....

I use Meguiar's Marine & RV wax and Meguiar's 62 to wash it.

RE: Anybody wash with pressure washer

I use one all the time and on everything. Just use a wide spray tip, 8-12 inches away and watch yourself around seams, vents etc.

RE: Mattress

Oh you are going to like this everyone. I called Tempur-Pedic for a quote for a custom mattress. Guess how much they want for a 48x76 mattress. $1,799.00. You got to be kidding.

RE: Mattress

Thank you all. Tempur-Pedic emailed me back and they will do a custom size. This is going to be pricey. I will let you know what they say when I call them.

Mattress

Anyone know who makes a custom mattress for the camper? I have a Tempur-Pedic at home and it would be nice to have something like that in the camper.

RE: Generator Wars

I dont own or use a generator. I'M CAMPING I own one but have never taken it camping. Don't see the need to. I perk my coffee old style on the stove. I went LED's on my lights in the camper so I save even more power on the batteries.

RE: Air bag compressor location?

I mounted mine under the rear passenger seat in the compartment below where you sit.I wanted it to be nice and dry and have less issues. Has been there for 6 years now and works like a champ. Also real easy to get to if I ever had to work or replace it. How's the noise factor? That's exactly where I want to install mine...in that compartment. Oh you can hear it. Every once in awhile I hear a it pump for not even a half a second. But that is when I do not have the camper on and have all the air out but the minimum preset the pump has built into it. I think that is 10 pounds. I have never heard it go off after I have all aired up.

RE: Price of Truck Camper vs Trailer

As far as the cost I can tell you I only pay $10.75 a year for tabs for my camper. I got that much change in my ashtray. My insurance is $175.00 a year. Nothing like being able to park in a regular parking stall.

RE: 4WD use Southern California/Arizona etc

You'll only need it once to appreciate it!!!! I go winter camping and it is the only way to go.

RE: OK, now the ???? start...

OK, we will pick up or new Lance next week. This Tues we get the Rhino liner done and it needs a week or so to dry and set. Interesting. I have a Line-X liner in mine and was told I could put anything in mine but gravel for the first 24 hours. I also have not had an issue with movement of the camper with it either and it has been 6 years.

RE: The truth about WiFi connection

If I understand the OP, the proposal is that part of the regular fee include WiFi. I definitely am not for this since we use an air card and do not want to be charged for the service and it is not fair to those of us who do not use it to be pay for what others use. That would stop me from using that campground. Ditto

RE: Forgot to check your TC height?

I measured the height and printed it out on my Ptouch and put it on the dash.

RE: Mystery door

Most use them to store stuff between the camper and the inside of the bed of the truck. Watch out depending what you are putting there it could shift and you might not be able to reach it.

RE: Is this a good idea for loading a TC?

My neighbor just got a camper and did not have the clearance on the bottom and sides. The dealer solved it by building a box like shell on the bottom and all the way around the sides and mounted it to the camper itself.
