RE: Kipor Sinemaster KGE3000THI questions?

For a few dollars more I would go with a proven proformer, Honda or Yamaha.

RE: New Truck Prices

So let me get this right, you get 20 or 30 years to pay for a house of that cost, but are expected to pay for one of these in 72 months? or less? Then they are virtually worthless.

RE: Poor traction in snow E350 Van V10

This thread is not helping me! :E I am trying to convince my wife that her next tow vehicle and daily driver would be a 2500 or 3500 van. She keeps bringing up the rwd and snow. I keep reminding that it is almost $20k cheaper than 2500 Yukon XL. Thats nice, you measure your wife's safety in terms of dollars. I'd put my wife in the safest daily driver I could get , my wife's life is worth more than $20,000 to me. You wanther to drive a van in bad weather. Nice guy.

RE: Does 3/4ton+set of timbrens=1tonSRW payload capacity??

Listen I too am tired of this, you have your answers. when I was younger I would do anything ,age brings a certain amount of learning with it. With the amount of lawyers in this country I think the last thing you should do is monkey around parts and or load a truck to or above it manufactured rating. This is just my opinion ,I am not a weight cop I don't care what you do. However if I am older than you I feel the need to say this.( This does not mean a owner should not upgrade his/her shocks for a better quality of ride ) It means dont put 10 lbs of poop in a 8 lb bag. period.

RE: Tow Vehicle Tires

If it matters to you Coopers are the only tire made in American and owned by a American company. They are also one of the best priced tires. The a/t should be good for you about 145 each

RE: Does 3/4ton+set of timbrens=1tonSRW payload capacity??

This is a joke right.Truck manufactures have spent millions and millions of dollars designing vehicles,Every object in these trucks is CAD designed , You can cut corners only so often and sooner or latter its going to come back to haunt you. Even if you add on enhancements to make you feel safe ,other factors are greatly changed like the weight on the ball joints and stresses on the steering components. You have to have the right tool to do a proper job. If you need a bigger truck than thats the answer.

RE: Diesel Oil change $$$

Put on a good double bypass filtration system, don't change the oil(synthetic) until you send it out for analyst (Blackstone ect ) and they tell you its time for new oil. You will save a lot more money then you will ever believe.

RE: Dodge 2500 Diesel

To be honest it would take a crystal ball to really answer your question, from my experience, SO LONG AS THE MOTOR HAS BEEN PROPERLY MAINTAINED. I think that you would need to look at the auxiliary items, like brakes ,rotors, exhaust system, u joints ball joints, tires, batteries. The tranny. For $20 you could take a oil sample and send it to blackstone and have it analyzed. You would not have a baseline but you could determine if there is any antifreeze in the oil(head gaskets) fuel in oil(injectors). and see how the rest of the sample turns out as far as engine wear. If it has pulled a heavy 5th for all its life give that consideration too. If the motor is clean and the rest of the truck isnt a money pit then you have many more miles left on it.

RE: Cevy/GMC with a Cat engine?

and a CAT motor has just as many issues as any other diesel motor. Leaks ,parts ect. I think the color and name is more of a legend than anything.

RE: Anybody seen anything on Mahindras lately?

Now it's February 2010, and I would expect some fanfare from Mahindra via one of our "news hounds." They've posted Mahindra news in the past so we could all scoff at the "ugly" little truck. By Australian standards, the Mahindra is rough crude and nasty. Few have been sold here. Can you elaborate with a little more detail? Crude +Nasty? Why (not judging just looking for info thanks brother)

RE: 4 Wheel Drive Problem

"...I bought this truck brand new and it has been in 4 wheel drive maybe 3 times..." On a nine year old truck.. Another good reason NOT to buy four wheel drive. In seven years of pulling our 5er, never had need of a dually or 4WD. ??? So, getting stuck on the end of a snowy road 3 times is not that bad I guess.... You must be a cat and have 9 lives :) Yes folks, just another reason to get all of your important information from internet message boards. Dude because YOU do not need 4x4 , why are you under the impression the rest of the world should not buy one? Because this fellow has a little trouble with it means he should not have bought it? Do you think he would have gotten ten feet in a foot of snow with out 4x4? To feed his cattle. Why do you suppose manufactures produce 4x4S? well its almost blue plate special time in Boca go eat.

RE: potential problem with heavy duty front bumper??

The answer to the original question is no the air bag sensor is controlled by the speed at which it detects the vehicle stopping. I do not have the engineering terminology.

RE: Traveling with a CPAP

I was just diagnosed with severe central sleep apnea, I got a BPAP machine, with a humidifier and because of the high setting a full face mask. How long on average does it take to get used to these things? I could only keep it on 4 hours last night. I will try again. I was having terrible nightmare of suffocating I hope this machine helps. Dr. said I would be dead soon with out it. Any thoughts my camping friends?
