RE: Damaged 5er axles

Thanks for the replies guys. For some reason the forum wasn't sending me emails when someone replied. "Edit: they were in the spam folder" Update: I stopped by a trailer place and they have a mobile guy who is going to do the job. I gotta go take some measurements and some pictures so the guy only has to go once. The other options weren't really options at all. Putting it on a low boy it would be over 13'6. They don't make 8 lug rims any smaller with the same weight ratings as the ones I have.

RE: Damaged 5er axles

No over passes. But there may be wires or other stuff thats low. The hangers are welded on, not bolted.

Damaged 5er axles

Over the holiday weekend while towing the rig to the race track for the AMA Superbike race the middle hanger on both sides of my trailer bent in half and allowed both axles to shift to one side. The front and rear hangers did not bend, just the middle hangers. I was only about 1/2 mile from the track when I noticed a funny sound and pulled over. I drove into the track and parked for the weekend. I was fortunate enough that the track let me leave it there until I can figure out how to get it to a repair facility. With the hangers bent the wheels are less than 1/4 inch from the camper body. I cannot tow the trailer any more than just dow the street. The question is how can the trailer be moved. Think it could be put on a low boy trailer? I've thought about getting 4 new tires for the rig that are much smaller than the ones I have. It currently has 235-85r 16's on it. The problem with running smaller tires is with the hanger bent it's pulling the tires a little out of alignment.
