RE: Anyone looking for an LCD TV deal?

Just bought a 720p 32 inch Samsung from Sams last week for $398. It was displayed next to same Samsung in 1080 and I thought it had the better picture. Had to get another HD receiver for it and the picture is second to none!

RE: Another plumbing parts satellite dish mount

By the way, the mount is most stable - the center of gravity is in the right place - if the arm of the dish is oriented like in the picture below: http://i660.photobucket.com/albums/uu322/dmcc002/smalldish3.jpg Nice job.. Would be a killer for me with bad knees to crouch down and try to aim the thing. Nice job on the the elevation adjuster. The newer dishes are coming with them. I was going to fabricate one, until I found a Sat Pal on ebay, so much better. Tripod on ebay for $15. Came with ground stakes, mast and has been rock solid in VERY high winds. http://creeperscobra.com/drop/tripod.jpg Went to Home Depot and bought some Plastic thumb nuts for Sat dish head. Put some friction washers behind the nuts. http://creeperscobra.com/drop/satpal/SANY0006.jpg Replace the brass bolts that came with the tripod with some stainless eye bolts. http://creeperscobra.com/drop/satpal/SANY0009.jpg The setup is complete wrench less now. All I need now is my hammer for the ground stakes. I prefer the tripod as I can stand up to do the adjustments. Great idea on those plastic thumb nuts. Just setting up my Slimline. Thanks!

RE: Heartland advice

Getting ready to order our "11" 3610RE after looking at EVERY other brand available. Even took an extra look at the number one seller again. Wife said noway. Had to agree we will be on our second Bighorn.

RE: Trailer Cord length

Sounds like your truck was setup for a camper, I think most of us have plug behind wheel well. You might consider making an extention cord, few feet of wire and both plugs. Thats the way mine was and I made the extension.

RE: RV SHOW PRICES?

A dealer would be a fool not to offer you the same "show deal" after the show. "Play these dealers against each other for the best deal." OK, but remember this is the reason why lots of dealers don't want to do your warranty work after being played if you didn't buy it from them.

RE: New TV

Dont get in a huge hurry to buy if you dont need too. We bought a new 52 inch Samsung from Sam last late November. They same model has gone down $300. I think it is because the LEDs and hitting the floors.

RE: HD TV without HD

Just went through the same thing. A couple of months back we bought a new 52 inch HD LCD TV. Picture was lousy compared with the 36 inch CRT TV we replace. Got Direct HD receiver and dish and the pix is great and the other two CRT TVs look good with the regular receivers. Then we bought a new 32 inch LCD for the Computer room and will put in the fiver when its time to camp. Picture again was lousy and disappointing. But it looks great on the air antenna. So now another HD receiver will be here tomorrow and I am in search of a good deal on an HD dish. They never told me any of this******when purchasing TVs or my first talk with Direct TV. Makes the new fiver TV kind of pricey.

RE: TorkLift vs HapiJac

Although I no longer have a TC I have had both Happi and Tork. Absolutely no comparisons. Tork Lift by a mile! Rear bumper mount on the HJ is a joke. Fast Guns adjust much more easily and are better quality. I broke 2 of the HJ Quickloads.

RE: Microsoft - XP vs 7

I just got a new laptop with 7. Not being a guru networking has kind of been a hassle for me. I got connected to my XP desk top and internet so fast I thought I screwed up. No flash drives or other hoops to jump through. In only a couple of weeks I already like my 7 much better than XP. Lots of little frills you probably dont need but it is just plain fun working with it. My Aero quit working cause I kept screwing with stuff. Just typed in Aero in search and it popped up a self fix in nothing flat.

RE: 47 or 52 inch?

A little more info please. We have all 4.3 TVs and lots of places I see 16.9's the characters in the picture all look short and fat. Especially live sports. The owner of the set doesn't seem to notice that. I am sure it isnt just me as I have other people mention that. Whats up with that?
