Have fun with your redo. I'm working on a 1974 25' Bell that someone else had already started to gut. It had water damage to the ceiling and walls. I added more insulation and more lighting including exterior lights before putting in new wall and ceiling panels. Resealed the roof after replace the vents. Also, a good time to replace water lines.
You'll have fun. It's a great project and you will have many hours of enjoyment once it's finished. Good luck!

Does anyone know how to change my profile mrsryno to our new "Screen" name? We decided we better come up with something a little more creative since everyone else on this thread has cooler names!
I bet Lee knows how, since he changed from Lee in CA to Lee in TN. Hopefully soon it will be Lee in NV :B
He should just change it to "Lee in RV", then he wouldn't have to change it every time he moves. :B

That's us. We were in San Rafael on Friday and Saturday and got here Sunday. We'll be here until Friday. I'm working all day and Cheri's doing taxes for our family (great vacation, huh?)

For those of you in the Bay Area, we went to the RV Show in Pleasanton today. We were very disappointed. $8 to park as usual and $18 for admission (for 2). Very few vendors and only a few RV dealers. There were 2 dealers with a few Class B RVs (PleasureWay and Road Trek). One dealer had some nice Tiffin MH's and another had a few Winnebagos. That was it for MH's. 5er's and TT were the hot items. A couple of Trail Manor hybrids (for Lee) but no popups. A few TC's.
Everything fit in one tent plus some used rigs outside. Far different from a few years ago. We were there a little over an hour and saw EVERYTHING!
Maybe by next year the economy will have recovered enough to make the trip worthwhile. Always fun to look at new stuff, but too many $$ for so few RV's and vendors. I was tempted to look at the kitchen utensils and knife displays, but resisted the urge.
I could have spent that money camping!! :S

Jim and Cheri's grandson arrived today at 1:57 pm. I'm sure she will fill in all the details soon. Jim and Cheri are camped at the Monterey Fairgrounds. They are happy campers!

We had a good drive home from Pismo today. It was raining pretty hard this morning when we left there. Had heavy rain about half way to San Jose. By the time we got to Soledad it had completely stopped and we even saw some blue sky. We got the MH unloaded and put away. About an hour ago it clouded up and started raining. About 10 minutes ago we had a crack of thunder that actually shook the whole house. For a couple of seconds, I thought we might be having a major earthquake and the house was coming apart. It was the loudest thunder I have ever heard! Glad we're home (sort of).
Pismo was fun! Thanks everyone!!

Power was out in parts of Pismo and Arroyo Grande for 6 hours this afternoon. Unfortunately, PCV and most of the areas where there were places to eat were closed. The few that were open were packed. Fortunately, power came on in time for us to see "24". Life is good!

Heavy rain, very strong winds, broken trees and power outages at Pismo today. Right now we seem to be between storms and there is even a little blue sky. Crews have cleaned up the damage at PCV, but I think there is more on the way. We will leave here in the morning.
Had a great weekend in this beautiful spot with great people.
Get out the sandbags!

Well, we did have rain today most of the day, but seeing good friends makes it worth it. We have a couple of more days here and it looks like more rain the rest of the week. Beats workin!
Bruce and Soon did a great job with the Korean dinner. Lots of good desserts, too. Thanks to Doug and Juanita for putting the whole thing together.

Lee does all his shopping at RV dealers. :B Pleasanton RV Show is in a couple of weeks. If you leave now you can be there for all the bargains.

Sorry, Lee, maybe you misunderstood my statement. Sometimes, when people are surrounded by extreme intelligence, charismatic personality, and exceptional personality it causes others to be intimidated to the point that they don't feel they can compete with such greatness. Then, when they are away from that atmosphere they begin to blossom.
That's one theory, anyway... :R

I just got off the phone with Blue Ox. They are getting a 2010 Fit next week and should know by the end of the week if the 2009 base plates will work. I was told that if new base plates are required it would take about 30 days to get them into production.
Guess I'll hold on to my Blue Ox. Good news!

I have an 09 Fit. Wouldn't expect many changes in the 10 because there was a major redesign in 09. I have a roadmaster baseplate, no problems, have towed my Fit about 2000 miles. Really don't know it's back there.
I really like the Fit. Good MPG & relatively comgortable even on long drives. Mine is a sport automatic.

Thanks for the info, Mike. What model tow bar do you have? If Blue Ox can't come up with a decision, I may sell my Blue Ox tow bar and switch to Roadmaster.

2010 Honda Fit VS Blue Ox
Has anyone tried to put the Blue Ox base plates for a 2009 Honda Fit on a 2010? Blue Ox doesn't have an item number for a 2010 base plate yet. I emailed Blue Ox and got a response that they would put me on the list to be contacted when they are available. I left a phone message and sent another email asking if they had an estimated date they would be available. No response.
It's my understanding that the Fit was redesigned in 2009 and only minor changes in 2010. I am ready to buy a Fit, but concerned about this issue. I'd like to avoid buying a new tow bar just because Blue Ox isn't being responsive.
