RE: Fishing Pole Storage

rxcamping
Why not go to a fishing store and buy one of the rod holder tubes for shipping. they are collapsible, have a lid on one end. Mine holds several rods broken down.

RE: How do you start your campfire?

For years I have used two sticks to start all my campfires, as long as one was a match, it has worked well.

RE: Windows/system32/config missing or corrupt

Sorry misread the post. I would still try my method and copy all the files from the repair to the config folder.
Turn on the view system file and folders option under Folder options first.

RE: Windows/system32/config missing or corrupt

There is a way to recover from the problem.
First you have to boot to a DOS screen, using NTFSDOS if you have a NTFS format on the hard drive.
Once onto the C drive go to Windows/repair. Using the copy command copy the system32 file to C:/windows/system32/config/ folder.
That will overwrite your system32 file in the config folder. You should be good to go then

RE: How about a 'BOATS' section in the Open Roads Forum?

I think a Boats Section would be helpful for many members on the forum There are many Rv'ers that tow boats and would probably appreciate a section to help with some of their questions.
On the other hand, a more need section, is a Mac computer section on this Forum. It would give the insufferable Mac users a place where they could gather and espouse their percieved virtues of the Mac, without having to poke their inane comments, into serious Computer discussions on this forum.

Get the proper manual and do it right. All you will get here are uninformed opinions.

RE: Ford V10 poor cold start

tel999
With the further information you provided, it may not hurt to check your intake manifold seal and make sure it is tight. They can loosen when cold and once the engine begins to warm they seal and the engine purrs.

Got a buddy from here, staying in Nevada for the winter in his motor home. He has it, talk to him all the time, no problems. BTW he is far from being a techie and he handles it quite well.

RE: Brake drum temps?

There are two ways to adjust drum brakes, one is using a feeler gauge, not usually possible on smaller wheels unless the drum has a "knockout" available to get to the innards.
Two is by tightening one wheel until it is tight, then loosen, and count the clicks on the star wheel until the wheel can be turned freely with a bit of "drag" heard. Once that is determined do the rest of the wheels similarly using the number of clicks to loosen the first one.
Regardless of how close you are, the tighter wheel will wear more quickly than the rest and eventually they will all be in sync.

RE: How do you keep dust out of the RV on gravel roads?

Back in the 60's when I worked in a Ford dealer ship along the Alaska Highway, Ford had a car model that was notorious for ingesting dust. Ford's solution at the time was to issue a Service Bulletin, advising the drivers, to open their heater vent control. This pressurized the interior enough to keep the dust out.

RE: Computer monitor won't start up?

If it's a desk top computer, check the rear by the power cord plug and make sure the small switch, usually there, hasn't been switched to off.
