I will take my microwave back but I have a different problem the whole bottom is rusting out the paint is peeling badly, my husband said I didn't keep the moisture whipped up enough I've never had that problem with any other microwave I've keep my microwave clean so I can't figure it out. Roberta

I just checked my 02 and it is in the recall i will call samsung and hopefully they will go good on the repair

For those that have had the recall done.
Check your operation.
Mine when you hit the 'popcorn' button then the start, it runs a popcorn cycle but never shuts off!!!

well thanks to this forum,I remember seeing the recall thing,I purchased my trailer used last December(2006) was inside it the other day and a microwave started running by itself,the kids thought there was a ghost in the microwave,or a ghost in the trailer,will admit it did freak me out too because I know the kid is not tall enough to reach the microwave.so they gave me a local service number.will be a pain but $10 in fuel is better and having to replace the microwave,will check popcorn cycle because that's the best part of evening fires,kids like roasted marshmallow's I'll take microwave popcorn.
