I have only one place to mount a Black and Decker coffee maker. The radio/CD player is in the end of the cabinet. My slide switch and tank indicator is on the wall. I got as close to the radio as I could and the coffee maker hits the cornice. I can put two of the screws in the radio cabinet if I move the coffee maker back about one inch. This would put it all the way under the cabinet. The instructions show the maker in front of the cabinet a little. Just wondering if this will cause any trouble? If it does do you know of a smaller under the cabinet coffee maker other than the Black and Decker? Thanks!

Really important to keep the edge of the Coffee maker near the front edge of the cabs otherwise the steam generated when brewing the coffee will damage the finish on the cabs. Been there,,,done that.We now have a shield put out by Black & Decker for just such an installation. It actually slides just between the top of the coffee maker and the bottom of the cabinet. I suppose a flat piece of plastic would work almost as well. Ask for a steam shield at B&D store or web site if no store near. good luck and happy brewing Don

The only problem I have ever had with an under cabinet coffee maker was with the steam rising up and eventually making the bottom of the cabinet door above come unglued. After re gluing the door I solved the problem by cutting a piece of aluminum that would slide in between the coffee maker and the bottom of the cabinet and stick out about 1 inch past the face of the cabinet. Any steam rising up is deflected out so as to not hit the cabinet face. I put a slight lip on the front just to make it look good but a flat sheet would probably be fine. I'm still using the same piece of aluminum I made for my first RV back in 86 and haven't had any problems with cabinetry since.

s.j.sharks:
I no longer own a F53 with a 460 but I seem to remember something about the Brake Light Switch releasing a relay to allow you to move out of "Park" position.
You might have someone check to see if your brake lights are coming on when you depress the pedal....Good Luck
