Never gave it a thought and really don't care ether way. Lifes to short to worry about something like that! I do close them when the units in storage though.

Mine are both up & down. On some windows where it's inconvenient to constantly unhook them from their anchoring pins, I simply rotate the blinds so the "cup" side of them faces the window frame, eliminating any long term wear from banging. Most of the others simply get pulled all the way up. Under movement they are banging like crazy when left down. Simply walk in without the leveler jacks down and you'll hear them banging against the frames. Imagine now with the trailer in motion and traversing bumps/RR tracks.

We travel with ours up. We don't have the hold down clips at the bottom. We are not on the road all that long to worry about the sunlight.

We tavel with ours down except when going across the Canada/US border in either direction. We stop before we get to the border & I raise all the blinds & open all the curtains so the customs people can easily see in. We've never had any customs officers ask to go into the trailer.

Mine are in the last position before we hitched up. That's either open, partially opened or closed. I don't sweat the small stuff. JMHO.

I keep them up as told by my dealer. Something about the possibility of them banging around and scratching the window frames.
