AndyAmes I am suprised you say those two units handle the same. The 09 would have the 19,000lb springs and the four house batteries behind the passenger seat for better weight distribution not to mention nine more inches of wheelbase? We have a 08 36FS with the 19,000lb springs and the four house batteries behind the passenger seat.We test drove an 2006 35GS which drove better than the 2005 34SS we drove. Now granted these were just test drives and not that many miles were put on but,I thought the 36FS has less sway and was not as bouncy in the front as the others. But I suppose as AZ99 pointed out one persons idea of a bad driving vehicle is another persons sports car.Just a thought for what its worth

I guess the driving difference is not significant enough for me to notice a large difference. I have only logged 1,200 miles since we got the 09 36MS, so I might have a different experience as time goes by with the rig.

I have enjoyed these rigs so much I might just not notice the difference.

I will update if I start to have a noticable difference.

Thanks for the very detailed description of the additions you made to your rig to improve handling. Question, when you said: "Of course Jayco/GM upgraded the rear springs at no charge to me and after having thoroughly tested all the additions", does that mean that you actually got the factory to AGREE that there was a sway problem and they a fixedit? If so, how did that happen?

Thanks.

Bob.

Bob,
Jayco knows that some Kodiak C5500 chassis were under-sprung with 15K springs and needed the 19K rear spring packs. I took pictures, got Jayco certified weight tickets and they agreed. All I had to do was ask. It was truly that simple.

Has anyone had any luck getting Jayco to change them out after the warranty has expired?

Two questions:
- Anyone know if the 19k springs are a GM part that would fit on any C5500 chassis. I have a Four Winds and would suspect that the 19k spring discussed on this thread would fit my Four Winds, but would like to be sure.
- Anyone know the part number for 19k springs? My local RV dealer can't determine it.

Thanks!

I contacted Jayco about my 2005 Seneca 35 GS, which I purchased in November of 2009, and they said they were NOT paying to fix suspension or springs-they reccommended add a leaf.

I have 19k factory springs on my '09 seneca. Would replacing the factory oversprings with super springs make any difference?
