Hi fellas i did a search on wiring the hunter t stat im my fifth wheel and found alot of diagrams but im am having problems with the wires in my trailer i will tell you what wires i have and maybe you guys can help me ok here goes.I see two sets of wires coming out of the wall 1st set 2 wires red 12v and white i know these are the furnace wires because if i twist them together the furnace comes on and on the old duo therm t stat the were wired red wire to rh pole white whire to w pole . 2nd set five wires in a brown sheath im guessing go up to the a/c and the colors are as follows yellow and that went to the y pole on the old stat,green to g pole old stat,blue to H pole on old stat, red to RC pole old stat and white that was not used please any help would be apreciated and i did follow the instructions on previous posts and they did not work for me alot of the postes spesk of a wire with 7.5v dc thats orange i do not have that anyway thanks in advance

I too installed a digital t stat but, I only connected four wires.
Red (12vdc+) to the RC with a jumper between RC and RH.
White to the W
Green to the G
Yellow to the Y
And it works fine.
You stated that you have connected two red wires. Do you know what the second red wire (from AC) is connected to at the AC end? According to the wiring diagram for the AC and furnace you would only need to connect the four wires.

Here is a link for wiring the popular Hunter thermostat. Hunter hook up It is a color code nightmare! But works great!
