Just learned some additional information.
The 2 drain pipes are used on the model that has 2 bathrooms.
There are only 3 propane tanks installed and shipped from the factory. This is because of a technicality with RVIA. The dealer can install the 4th additional tank thereby having 80# of propane.

Looked pretty nice to me. Still not sure about the cable slides though. Is there a way to retract/extend the slides manually?

Tim, You asked about extending and retracting the slides manually since they have cables. Your answer is YES. The motor for each of the slides is inside at the top of the slide in the middle. Open range sends a flexible shaft that you put in a drill and insert the other end in the end of the motor. Unsig the drill will turn the motor activatiing the chain drive attached to the cables and open or close the slide. I guess I don't see a problem with the cable/chain/motor setup. How many years have garage door openers been like that? No body argues about them not working. So far fo me the cable system has been excellent. Quiet, smoothe, and straight. Dandy Dan,
I have asked the same question of our local dealer but have not heard yet.
I dont mean to be an antagonist, but it seems the cable and chains may be connected together. What happens if the chain, cable or one of the attachments to the slide break? If it is dependent on the cable/chain using the manual operator, it may still be a concern to me.
Or is the chain just used with the motor and the cable used to keep the slide aligned?
Thanks for posting the above.

Witt, From the little I have looked at it, the chain is driven by the motor. Chain is hooked to the ends of the aircraft cable which goes through a pulley system so the slide is pulled in and pulled out. I can't tell you the exact size of the cable but it is probably 2-3 times the size of your garage door cable and I believe it may be stainless. They advertise on the side of the slide BAL system. reference cost, I suppose that is a but fluctuating between dealers. At the time we bought our 337 the base price was $48,000 and we got it for $36,000 which I didn't think was bad at all considering the high R factors in the ceiling and floor. I think the ceiling is R-27 and the floor R-21. sure is a lot better than a lot of them. Floor is 6 layers overall from the wood, insulation to the bottom membrane that covers all from front to rear.
I know the factory has made changes from when be bought ours. We have a regular bathroom vanity and sink and not the bowel on top. In the corner we have a small linen closet. Now the vanity is over there and the place where vanity was is plumbed for washer and dryer. We have no place for washer and dryer but I really don't care. The bathroom as a whole is so much roomier than our Sierra the way it is laid out. I know the factory wants input as to suggestions from folks as to what they would like to see either added or deleted to make the units more pleasant and user friendly. I contacted the factory on a couple of very minor things and they jumped to assist and make me happy. I guess you just have to really look at them and make up your own mind. No matter what the brand you are going to have someone slam the product as you will have some praise it. Good Luck and Happy Camping

I know the cables are 2000# cables so it may not be a concern. Just thought it could happen as Murphys Law. Good R ratings in the Open Range. Did you get 4 propane tanks too? I sure do like the outside looks of them.

The ones in production now have a totally new exterior rear end. Looks alot better than the original. Saw pictures that a factory rep had.

We looked at the OR's at the local RV Show and liked them. But I decided I wouldn't touch those cable slide mechanisms with a 10 ft pole. Ever had a Coleman pop-up with the cable lift system??? Being a new company, I was a little leery. We finally opted for a Jayco 35RLTS with which we're very pleased.
2nd hand info - I talked to a guy at Camping World the other day who bought one and has had nothing but problems with it. He stated that the outer side walls started sagging and warping and the front and end cap went bad. He also said the a/c was improperly installed and had to be replaced. After having a hard time with the selling dealer, he ended taking it back to the factory in Indiana where they had to replace all the sidewalls, slider walls and front and end cap. They are supposedly using different materials now to eliminate the problem. He said his trailer has spent most of its time waiting for repairs. He further stated that the factory paid for his fuel and gave him $1000 for his trouble to bring it to Indiana from Texas.
