Hi, fist do you have a good truck that will tow what weight class you are looking at!! and you are talking about 5ers that are in the weight class around 12k to 15k so you will need a good heavy truck if you are going to be on the road a lot, second you want to get a trailer that has at least 16" tires, gives you a more bal. ride, it will keep the top of your trailer more level and keep your tires turning the same RPMs,(as the truck) and the only thing I have found that bothers the wife and I are, if we need to go to the bathroom if I'm on the road is when some of the slide ins are in you have a hard time getting to the potty and maybe to the fridge! Just look at what you really like and take a day or 2, go home and write down the likes and dislikes, and go back and look at it again, believe me it works, GOOD LUCK and I read a lot of good comments above. Don't be in a big hurry to buy. They make them everyday.

cj.wilson wrote: We like you are in the process of selling our house so we can become fulltimers. We have purchased a Cedar Creek, 38ft. There will be myself and hubby and big dog. We've been out 4 times since acquiring the rig. loads of space ie storage, and what not. Hubby has modified some things, put a shelf here and there, increased the depth of the medicine cabinet. We also will be taking a 4 ft free standing island, as there is not enough counter space for 2 cooks, it fits nicely in the living room when slides are closed. We have window shopped for 3 years in anticipation of this lifestyle. In the end it all boils down to comfort and most important the Dealer. You will know as we did as soon as you walk in you will know you are home. Good luck!!
Which Cedar Creek did you buy? We really like a couple of their floor plans...

We bought an Excel and so far it's been terrific. Called the company just to ask a question and talked to a vice-president!

We toured the Excel plant 3 or 4 years ago, and the tour guide pointed to a younger fellow working by himself, dressed like the rest of the factory workers, on a new computer automated machine that cuts framing material. Excel's are all wood framed, which I believe to be far superior than aluminum. He was determined to master it himself before he turned the employees loose on it.
He was the owner---- Have to say I was impressed. Wish they made something wider than 96 inches

We were impressed enough with the Cameo to buy one, we picked up our 34CK3 last week and can't wait until we can take it out.

Good for you on your Cameo!! BIL has the same one, we on the other hand have a Bighorn 3670. Both rigs are nice and work well. The one thing that they have found on the Cameo is watching that step with the door closed. We're planning on doing something about that, easily removed platform or something. Have a good time in your new rig.

Any 5th wheel that is truly rated as a "full time" unit is going to be very heavy. It will require a much bigger investment than you have budgeted not to mention requiring a much larger tow vehicle. Short of that I woul encourage you to look at Sunnybrook. Definitely one of the best values on the market.
