I have a 1996 Alpha 30' 5th wheel. Someone unhooked my battery cables this summer while the unit was in storage. I can't seem to get the cables hook up right on my 2 six volt batts. I have the jumper cable hooked up to the pos and neg. I have two black wires and one red wire and 4 white wires. Anywhere I can find the right combination?
Thanks

Get out the ohmmeter and measure each wire to the frame of the trailer. Use a high range. The ones that show 0 ohms should be the negatives.

generally white wires go to the negative terminal of your 12 volts. Black and red are usually positive. Some wires may have inline fuses. these will go to the positive. I have taken the groups of wires in my battery compartment and taped then together. The positive wires are joined with red tape and the negative or ground wires are joined with white. I got my colored electrical tape at a auto parts store.
