The coolest set up i ever saw was on a TV show about upgrading an old motorhome. A couple had there 82 motorhome totally redone, the tv set was a 27" plasma mounted on a swing arm slide set up, when done watching tv in the bedroom they would swing it around as to watch it from the living room area, if they were outside they would aliagn it up straight and open an 8" door on the outside and the unit would slide on a track like a kitchen cabinet drawer through the opening then swivel around to face outward,One tv for inside or out .pretty Cool.

no more disrespectful than them leaving it blasting while they are gone, IMHO. And if questioned, your answer is that you assumed that they forgot and left it on and you didn't want them to waste electricity and wear out their TV.
and a humorous thing you could do, but it would cost you a little $$$, would be to buy one of those baseball thru the windshield stick ons and put it on the screen of their 42 inch plasma TV when you turn it off. when they come home and see a baseball has shattered it, it would be worth the $9.99 IMHO.

I don't have pics yet to show you but here is what I did, I have a 37" tv sitting inside the lower front side(some call it the basement) storage area, I raise the big door and install a screen in the opening, I made it out of 1x3 pine and its the exact shape of the opening, then I picked up screen from a friend of mine that owns a glass const. firm and stretched it over the pine frame and stapled it down. What this does is to allow me to watch tv with the storage door open and prevent the bugs from getting inside. You will not even notice the screen in front of the tv. The screen is a fiberglass type , the same as you would use on a screen porch, it works really well. I will tell you this , making the wood frame takes some time to get the exact fit in the storage opening, and making it tight enough to hold it in place. I will take pics this weekend.

I have to say that you can have a tv outside without blasting the people around you. I'm here to say that it is very relaxing to be outside near a fire and watching a ballgame during the fall or early spring and it can be done without disturbing your fellow campers. I turn mine on and then walk around my site to make sure its not so loud that it can be heard outside of my area. I must say this forum is a wonderful place to get info and the people are very willing to help, reading how some of you are bickering is very disappointing. All of you have been very helpful to others, I see your name on responses all the time. I understand some campers are not considerate of others and that is a shame.

I do the same thing. I walk to the edges of our campsite to make sure the TV can't be heard. If it can, I tell the kids to turn it down. The DW and I usually don't watch TV outside but we have a disabled daughter who loves to be outside but can't run through the woods with her brothers and sisters. So, we will often have a Disney movie playing for her.

I often hear music playing loudly from other campsites. I don't go over and turn it off for them. Over the years I have learned to "tune out" noises that I don't like. I guess that's an advantage to having such a large family.

Hi All.

We are not kill joys, and like to let people live as much as possible. As we are all different, and have different likes and dislikes. But there are some very rude RV'ers out there. I don't mind a litle bit of enjoyment out side. As long as they keep it down and try to limit it to there own space. I know sports fans get carried away. And do to much whooping an hollering at times. We don't mind people haveing fun, but when it becomse so noisy, that we can't enjoy our own out-side RV Space, I'm man enought to go over and talk to the offender nicely. And if that doesn't work, then it time to get the Campground Manager. The same thing goes for people who just have to blast there Stero's outside, same thing, keep it to yourself. We also have a very nice Stero, and a nice LCD HDTV, but we keep ours inside, and you would never know when we use ours. I enjoy my music on the loud side, but I use a set of headphones, inside and outside. This, and a lot of other noisey issues, is why we much perfer to Dry-Camp/RV. We enjoy being outside, in the open fresh air, and enjoying the peace and quite. Not putting up with rude neighbors. Good Luck. Happy Camping, Dan & Jill

We were in Algonac State Park in Michigan A few years ago and there was a motorhome with a sheet hung at one end of the awning with a Nascar race projected on it. Most of the campground visited at 1 time or another to watch. My DH has been wanting 1 ever since.
