Thanks guys!
I can't find where to change my preference to accept private messages?
I don't have an oven...only a stove. And I don't have any vacant wall space to speak of. I guess it may be better to do the legs? I still want to check out the writ up.

Erik,
Go to My Forums, then to My Preferences. Under the Private Messages section, click the radio button "Allow all members to send me Private Messages", and then click "Submit Changes". Let me know when you have done this and I will send you ktcribbs' write-up.

Hoka- If you do not have an oven- could you mount the wave under stove ? - if you want to mount the wave to a hard surface??

If you send the write up from the Outfitter members only website to Hoka- go ahead and send it my way also- if you are not breaking any rules. I also have interest in the Wave heater. Thanks

Be for warned, if you direct the Wave directly at someone, they will get hot pretty quick. You can see where I mounted mine. It is across from the dining table. Setting at the table, I have to pay attention where I put my feet, or my legs will get real warm real quick. It will not burn, but does get uncomfortable.
You can use the same mounting concept that I used, put a "T" between the line in and the stove top. Run a gas line to someplace easy to reach for your disconnect. I prefer to mount my Wave, but you do what you have to do.
For four winters, I used my Wave3 at least four nights per week. It rarely got down to freezing, but got still got cold. I see no advantage in pointing the Wave toward the overhead bed area. Your entire TC will get warm.

Quote: Ya know Don it's all in the family I could- their website says they have a Winter Sales Event- with "never before" discounts and amazing deals and they are trying to keep their employees busy during the winter. It's interesting you say that trails, because it is all the Ward family on both sides of the fence. I have personally gotten pretty weary of the back-and-forth between the two brands in this and other forums. As I have always said, both companies make good quality, top-end pop-up campers and an owner of either one has a right to be a proud owner. It's too bad that there are internal differences within the "two branches" of the Ward family, but I have enough of my own problems to continue worrying about whether someone considers one camper to be better or worse than the other. I like my Outfitter and you like your Hallmark, and that should be good enough on its own merits as far as I am concerned.
In terms of Outfitter (as I am sure is the case with Hallmark and most other TC manufacturers), they are probably trying to do their best to keep their business viable and to maintain their staff through these very difficult times. I certainly hope both can survive.
Don Don I concur on the back-and-forth between the two brands...
The ktcribbs write-up is good. I dont really need the extra heat here in Louisiana... but, for any pop-up owner around the CO, UT, WY area it could be very useful.

Hoka Hey, Remember that when you use aux. heat, you will not be heating your basement fresh water and holding tanks.
I mounted my ceramic heater in the same location except "inside" so that it draws it's air from behind the cabinets. That way there is some air circulation through the basement area. When it gets into the low 20's, I always rely on the furnace.
Just something else to consider.

I use this camper for backcountry (and frontcountry skiing). Often it is well below freezing or even below zero. I don't use the plumbing in these situations.

I've got 4 boats on the water today, and the weather isn't so hot. High of 36 and north-northeast winds to 20mph, with several more inches of snow predicted. This weather is normally excellent fishing, but the wind/chill can be tough for some folks.
I hope I can get up on the mtn. today and strap my little boy to his skis!
