boy how many times have i heard that!!! We moved from the tent to a pop up many years ago. My three kids are getting bigger and im getting older and the 2+ hour set up is taking its toll on me. I remember what people would say when i got the PU. Man do ya cook in it too? Well we are in the market for our first TT and the wife and me can hardly wait to get it. We daydream about finally taking weekend trips without a huge setup. I believe we have daydream camped in it enough to wear out a real camper But would'nt ya know it that we are hearing it again " that aint real camping" Man if i only had a dollar for everytime i've heard that! I try to explain that its camping if we are not at home, work or some expensive hotel, and we are living out of whatever we brought to the park. I Guess they never get it. Our family loves to camp and my children would pick a camping trip over christmas. Our kids were actually mad at us thinking that we were going to lose the PU as it's become a trusted friend. I guess we will keep it under tarps for a long while. I know the best memories we have made as a family had the PU in it. I hope the new one carries the torch!

We went from a tent with 4 kids to a popup to nothing, then we got the 5'er about a year and a half ago. All the kids are grown and we're fulltiming in the 5'er. It may not be CAMPING per se, but it's what we want to do, so....WHAT? We're enjoying ourselves, we're out in the woods with or without a campfire, with or without the dutch ovens...we're CAMPIN' as far as I'm concerned! Have a ball wth the new TT!

We just moved from a tent to a 13 foot trailer. Basically use it two weeks in the summer, when the days are long and hopefully, the weather is good. Since there is no power at the campground we love, we wanted the camper for the toilet, the bed off the ground, and found that the gas fridge was really handy, and the two burner stove. We can start the coffee from bed - LOL. It's just the two of us, so that size is ok for us, and we really don't spend much time in it, but have done a rainy day or two and it's fine. I think as long as you continue to do many things outside, you will find "it's camping".

I walked into the dealership and bought a motor home right off. Very glad I did. I'm on my third. It's always ready to hit the road. People say to me "that's not really camping"all the time. i tell them their right !

I had PU for ten years and went to a TT and never looked back . setup is very simple and if it rains , roll up awning and go home and park it, no setting up a wet trailer ,only to knock it down the next day.... enjoy the jump

We used to say that of RVs when we tented, and when we had a PUP. Now that we have a TT, I'd say - they're right. However, we still think of it as camping, and we still call it a camper, even though it feels more like a house. Whatever it is, if you enjoy it and it helps you relax, it's fine.

We have "camped" for 45 years (tent, pup, conversion van and TT). We now have a TT with a bunkhouse with enough room for the children and grandchildren. We are still able to enjoy the outdoors as a family with great ease and talk about the years when we set up the tent and pup many times in the rain. I wouldn't trade the memories and I wouldn't go back to all the work! Enjoy your new TT and cherish the memories of the pup. Ann

PUP for 4 years then to a TT for us. When people say that to me I tell them that using a RV "Is all of the good parts of camping with none of the hassle"
