Anyone made a system, I'm thinking about hanging just below my awning. Curious to know if someone has already figured out how to tap into their water supply.

All parts needed are available at any hardware store. There are even kits available with everything you need for a basic system.

The parts are available easily This is a link to a $70 kit. I think I saw a kit at one of the hardware related stores last summer for under $40.

I can only assume that what you are attempting is to have the Mister tapped into your on board water system without Hook ups? With Hook ups it quite easy...just one an extra water hose under the rig...without hook ups, you will be going through quite a bit of water from your on board supply. All I can add is that it feels good on those Hot..Hot days.

I picked up some Misters at Lowe's in 2007 during our Utah trip, it was pushing 110 at Zion. The whole set ran about $15 and still works today. You will go through a lot of water and your pump will be chugging along so be aware of the downside. If you have hook up's then its a no brainer.

I did one using an oscillating fan; one that is on a stand. I found a kit online, then at a home center, that has three nozzles and a hose. My TH has a garden hose attachment already so I just connect to that, then connect the fan to my inverter and turn it on, works quite well and doesn' use a ton of water but definitely drops the temp. My pump cycles on and off and does not get too warm at all. My awning is very popular at the hotter races for sure.

Have a friend that has a whole setup using a 30 gallon jug of water, RV water pump and an ice chest full of ice. Runs the hose coiled up in the ice chest and hangs the misters from his awning. The 30 gallons easily lasts the weekend, just another thought. It looks like a fog around his rig but sure is cool.

I have been thinking about doing a mister setup, I have one in our patio area and it works nice.
My idea for the RV is using a plastic 55 gallon soap barrel (FREE) for the water supply, and a RV water pump to feed the system, that way I am not using anything except the RV batteries/Generator. It also would be semi-portable and the water barrel could be used to store extra grey water if needed, since We have a 12V waste water pump.
When I bought the system for Our patio, I found it was cheaper to get "the kit" rather than individual parts even though I did not need all of it. I went for the brass fittings over the plastic ones, since most plastic gets brittle in the sun.
Now I just need to find all of those spare parts I have somewhere

I bought a couple of kits and my buddy bought a couple too. We each set up 2 12' x 12' EZ-Ups between the awings of our rigs and string the misters together to make one big oasis!

Works great!

We'll have it up next weekend in the desert for sure!

My Warrior has the "pressure washer". I am thinking since it uses a standard hose spigot type connector, install a quick release at the nozzle end and attach the mister hose to the coiled hose of the washer. I might need to attach something under the trailer to support the hose so I don't block the storage access... Great idea, had never occurred to me.

Anybody wanna guess how much water a 10' mister system would use? I found on the Misty Mate website replacement nozzles specified at .007gpm or gallons per minute, so a 10 nozzle system would use 4.2 Gallons per Hour. or 33.6 gallons for each 8 hours of useage. Not bad, I often have 45 to 50 gallons of water left over from a weekend.
