its welded, both sides. the angle of the pic makes it look like its not, but the frame is a bit wider than the hanger and the weld is under the edge. could the flipping happen if it has axle spacing of 35" but springs set up for 33"? its just the front axle that does this, the middle and rear are fine....

Due to a large movement it may have just went over top dead center and hung there?

it flips back and forth. large water drains in the road or driveways cause it as the front axle drops down into it, then as the center axle starts down, the equalizer gets pulled down and 'WHAM!' the front axle will slam up off the ground while the shackles flip up or down, depending on where they were at first.....

Is your trailer frame level while towing? If nose is real high suspension could articulate enough to do what you describe.

Well, I just got done installing the EZ-Flex kit on my TH. I am very happy that I did. Not only is the Dexter kit much heavier duty than the stock hardware but the place that flipped my axles under warranty (they had to replace them with new ones) totally messed up the install. All of the shackle bolts were turning, I am guessing they used the old bolts.

Goes back to "if you want it done right, you do it yourself".

It took a friend and me about 4 hours to install both sides. The most time was ensuring we had the RV jacked up well. I was also able to properly attach the brake wires, I didn't like haw they were dangling on the springs.

All in all, I am a very with this kit and would recommend it to all.

I had my truck attached but the only reason I did that is because my trailer is not parked on level ground. I did one side at a time.

Got a question for all of you...
I can tell this Dexter kit is very solid, and it shows by all of you purchasing the E-Z Flex.
I have no problem purchasing their kit, but I have a contact at Lippert Components and want to know your guys' opinion of their kit that supposedly competes with Dexter's and whomever else is out there....is there significant difference (good or bad) between the two?
