We are headed to Branson for a week in Sept. Can anyone recommend shows for us to see? Do we purchase tickets ahead of time or when we get there? Thanks for your help We will be staying at Branson Lakeside RV Park.

We enjoyed Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede while we were there. Dinner and a show and within walking distance of the campground.

There is one show we really liked, it was preformed by I think 6 brothers, no band or other type of music was used, but they somehow preformed there singing acts as if there was a band. All the sounds came from the group. Really neat, and you would enjoy the act. Also the PRESLEY act was good. There theater is located across from the Titanic.
Get a map of the side roads, green route, yellow route, etc, these side roads really help in your travels.

I agree with the post below that Dixie Stampede is a must see. Also the Balknobbers is a classic show. Lastly if you are wanting something else besides a show to go to, I would recommend to Ride the Ducks- They are "buses" that go from land to water. I have been to Branson four times and those are what I would recommend. Also, if you are planning to stop at other Missouri attractions along the way, here are some other Missouri attractions to see on your Missouri RV Trip.

Like mentioned above, Dixie Stampede will take care of dinner & show at one time...the Ducks are also fun (my kids love them)...also, Silver Dollar City has different shows going on all the time, as well as all the crafts & rides & food & everything else going on there. The Promise is also well worth seeing...

We will be in Branson in 2 weeks and a few people have recommended the Branson Belle boat cruise, meal and entertainment. Any comment from people who have experienced this show? We will be at the KOA from June 28 to July 1.

We did Branson in the spring, and the best show we saw was Rankin Brothers. We actually got those tickets free when we went to the Von Burch magic show, although I doubt that now.
Rankin Brothers.
A close second was Red, Hot and Blue.
We did not see Dixie Stampede, but will on the next trip.

I would suggest the Presley's show, I think it is better than the Baldknobers. Pierce Arrow is a great show and the Tenors are fabulous.

We have done the Branson Belle and it was fabulous. Had a ventriloquist with his two dogs on the show and they were great. Don't miss it. We just wanted to do something different this time.

Strange that no one has mentioned the Shogi Tabachi show which we rate as #1. Of course, if you don't like music, or listening to a Japanese fiddle player, pick another show. However, he packs two shows daily and people take photos of the bathroom fixtures; they are so spectacular.
Agree the the Belle and Dolly's show.
BTW, all music shows are suitable for all family members. Not sure of the comedians such a Yakob (sp?) There is also a heavy dose of patriotism and religion, so be prepared if that is not your thing.
Also, if you really want to see a particular show I suggest you get tickets ahead of time.
