The riverboat show is worth it. In addition, be prepared to see LOTS of shows in Branson. We were there two years ago and too be honest I was glad to get out of there. It's just too crowded (you will learn about the secondary roads) and shows can be lined up next to each other on the main roads.
You can also rent fishing boats or fish around the dam, take a short train ride or do many of the activities that are found in most family-type tourist areas. No casino though.

Everything everyone else has said plus Grand Country. It is a smaller theater but a really fun show, one of our favorites. Also, for the poster there in June, we went to the marina at Tablerock state park and rode the Spirit of America water tour. It is a catamaran (?) that took us out in the lake and then we had about a 2 hour swim time with huge blow up toys for the kids to jump and play on in the water. Lots of fun, not too expensive. Have fun!

Not in any real order of preference.
Mickey Gilley, Joey Riley , Pierce Arrow, Branson Belle, Magnificent Variety Show ( with dinner), Clay Cooper, Presleys, Chuckwagon Dinner Show ( old cowboy dinner) Branson Brothers, Ricky Boen and Texas Mudd, Sixties Show, check out the Imax theater, Jim Owen just to name a few.
If you are staying a week and making several shows I would recommend the Branson Guest Card ( $20 bucks ) and it will pay for itself on show discounts and some restuarants honor it also. IT can be purchased about any show venue. Enjoy your trip.

Hi,
We were in Branson the week of Labor Day last year. Some of the shows we wanted to see weren't scheduled for that week. We were told they usually take some time off after the Labor Day weekend. Silver Dollar City had limited rides and shows and even crafters available during the week, maybe it was better on the weekend, we went on a Friday. A few years ago we went during the Master Craftmen Days, if you have a choice when you can travel it is worth watching some of these masters do their craft. We watched barrel making, and tongue and groove technique used to build a small log cabin, along with making baskets from shaving the tree through the preparation steps necessary before the weaving of the basket starts, weaving pine needles into Christmas ornaments, and wall hangings and trays, plus so many other things that I haven't seen being demonstrated at the same time in one place. Check out Silver Dollar City's website for when it is scheduled. Have a fun trip.

Went to Silver Dollar City last week!
Musical productions are new to the Branson Area. One I heard great raves on was the new musical Peter Pan. Noah is the other new musical - something different for those looking for a change.

Just saw Shoji, great show! Another show we saw was Paul Revere and the Raiders and Bill Medley of the Righteous Brothers. Was not really thrilled to go until we got there, at Andy Williams Moon River theater. Haven't laughed so much in years. Paul Revere was not only a great musician but kept the audience in stitches!
Bill Medley brought down the house with his songs along with his daughter. The Raiders backed him up on stage. Absolutely a great show, would recommend highly. If you were young in the 60's you will definitely have a good time.

For us it's the Shoji Tabuci and Yakoff Smirnof shows. They were extremely good. If he is there when you are Daniel O'Donnell is fabulous
