I have single rear bunk that I am tired of climbling all the way up there to sleep with my nose touching the ceiling so I am thinking I can install a electic bunk or modify mine so it will go all the way down. any info on this? what do you guys think? any problems? looking for all types of input before I start
Thanks

The Damon Outlaw has a bed in the garage that lowers with a
key by chain to the deck and the bed folds out twice to make a queen size bed.

My son in-law had to manually lower the rear bunk. He bought a kit and installed it himself. Built brackets for the original bed and now has two that lower down. My sugestion is to locate the same model trailer you have with the electric bunk option and take good measurements of where everything mounts and go for it. I think he was into it for $300.

Very doable.
Warrier uses C-Channel with a plastic block riding the channel (possibly a teflon block) then strapping material on a shaft connected to a small electric motor.
Pins lock the top bunk in place and the bottom bunk bottoms out at the end of the C-Channel.
Have the C-Channel powder-coated white after you drill & cut it. I'm sure you can make it look very nice.
We absolutely love our bunks so, I highly recommend the mod.

I have searched all over for a kit for converting bunks to electric. Does anyone know where a kit can be found?
When I just get done building something:
Mrs ferociousllama: Wow honey! That looks Really nice.
Me: I know. It almost looks like I had a plan when I started.
