-oh never mind - Had thought I'd posted it in the "Tent Camping" forum. Did not intend to offend.
Enjoy.

Well, now that we know that you are special, I guess we can all be happy. We can be happy full time RVing. We are NOT camping, nor are we trying to get away from it all. The "All" of our lives is just fine, thank you We bring it all with us because it is how we LIVE.
But, we are still happy that you have finally figured out happiness, and we DON'T find it "remarkable" that you march to a different drummer.
Hopefully, you will continue to enjoy your life and camping. We know we certainly will continue to enjoy our lifestyle, regardless of how remarkable it may seem.

What a wonderful message! I have tent camped with Boy Scouts (as a leader), but now we camp in a 30' "C"....not because I hate the tent, but because it is a better fit for our family! I also feel better when I get up from my BED, than I did after sleeping on a bedroll in the tents.
Still, I have some wonderful memories of tent camping...and hope to have many great memories with the motorhome too. After all, that is what it's all about, right?
I agree with you on many of your concerns and thoughts.....My DW isn't as understanding as your spouse....but she's still the greatest woman, in my opinion....I want her to be with me, and I want her to be comfortable....more comfortable than I know she would be, trying to crawl around on the ground in a tent (though she has done it in the days gone by.....15 years has made it tougher!!)
Yes, we can't get to all the places you will get with that tent, but we can get to quite a few wonderful places....with that same beautiful sky above us.
You say you "never got RVing"....but you really did!!! You fell in love with the idea of camping under the stars, and even a tent is a "vehicle" that allows you to do that! After all, here you are at RV.net.....Recreational Vehicle....with the key word being Recreational!!
I hope you have many more years in that tent...and you are absolutely right, quality does matter!
All the best!!
