Size seems to run about right. I wear XL and the jerseys I bought from Rockey Mountain in XL fit me fine. I buy my wife M because she likes them loose. The boys get Lg to M.

Talk to their folks on the phone. They can tell you about any quirks from brand to brand. They can also recommend the right gear for your climate and temperatures.

Another good source is Chaparral when they have a blow out sale on last year's gear. Stay away from they're store brand Ocelot, not good quality.

If you want really good stuff and are not a slave to trendy fashion look at KLIM, it is by far the best stuff around, not cheap but not outrageously expensive. They are up in your neck of the woods and have a strong following in the snowmobile crowd.

I use them all. Rocky Mtn, Motosport, Chaparral and I also wear Klim. I buy 90% of my stuff thru Rocky Mtn or Motosport, whichever has the best deal at the time. However, if you are ever in SoCal, Chaparralis the Mecca of gear. It's literally bigger than a Super Wal-Mart. They have all the current stuff but the real deal are on last years (and the year befores) leftovers...top name jerseys for $10, pants for $20, you get the idea.
All that being said though, I personally but Klim stuff for all my off-road apparel. Best stuff made in my opinion.

We just didn't have as much luck with the Ocelot longevity for the kids. The other stuff, even the cheap Oneal, could be passed down once or twice, the Ocelot usually only survived one kid. The boots are especially weak.

I agree. ROCKYMOUNTAINATV.COM is the best website for ATV "stuff" of all kinds. They are great to work with and my experience is they have great prices.

Riding pants & jerseys - Rocky Mountain or Chaparral (when I'm visiting granpa)
Boots - Rocky Mountain - the ARC boots are just fine for kids.
When we had the five kids at home, we would just pass stuff down from one to the next, didn't matter if it was a boy or girl.
Even for mild riding, I insist on helmet, goggles, chest protector, gloves, and boots for everyone! Jeans and a T is okay for warm weather, and we have been known to ride in ski bibs in the snow.
It can be spendy to get started, but we have had no major kid trauma in over 6 years other than one broken arm, so it is all good and worth every penny!
Have fun shopping!
