We are thinking about getting another Travel trailer to replace old one. (Bigger and with slide outs. ) DH is 69 yrs. I am 64 yrs. Do you think we should just keep the old one, it is only a 19ft and with our old Collie there isn't much room to move. I can not drive this one. Am I worrying innecessarily?

How old do you feel?
There are people out there that are in their 80s who are camping and having a blast....if you are both active enough, I'd go for the newer larger RV....
You might want to consider a mid-size "C" motorhome...something that you could drive too. Or, see about taking some classes, so that you can learn to drive with a TT behind you....just in case.
DW doesn't want to drive the RV, but she has, and knows that she can, if needed. A real load off both our minds!!
You only live once!!......besides, the Collie would probably appreciate it, and we do all these things for our fur babies!!

Not to be crude, but are you planning to get rid of him anytime soon? Figured you weren't. If you can afford a new TT and it would make you happy and be more comfortable, why not? Most people keep their TTs for an average of 7 years. Do you think you will be in good enough help into your 70's to keep enjoying it? Why not have your DH give you the entire lesson on the TT from hooking up, setting up, breaking camp and driving it. Many women do it and it may be that someday, you may HAVE to do that to get your TT back home.
Several years ago, DH and I went to the beach for the week between Christmas and New Years. He was 47 and I was 45. He ended up in the ER twice, then in the hospital for 4 days. I had to break camp, hook up the TT, then pick him up when he was released from the hospital to travel home. We took 2 days to do an 8 hour trip. I knew how to do it, but it's still not easy by yourself, but if I hadn't known how to do it, we would have had to stay there until he recovered, which was about a week. I had to return to work.
If you don't want to fork out all the $ for a new one, look into a used one with slides.
We don't know what tomorrow holds, so live your life TODAY!!!

If you think you're too old, you are. If you think you're NOT too old, you're not. If you want it and can afford it, go for it. It'll be just that much less the kids will inherit anyway.

If you plan on continuing to travel with your old TT, then go for the new one. Be careful about your length and weights so you don't get something too big to manouever in campgrounds/gas stations/parking lots etc...
Maybe upgrading to a 25' with a single slide would give you enough room... with something like that, you'd probably get a small sofa, and the slide gives you 3 or 4 feet more width. Since it's not a hugely dramatic change from what you're towing now, you might not even notice the difference. See if an RV dealership would hook-up and let you test drive around your town, so you can see if you find much difference in the actual towing.
I see lots and lots of people on the road, driving big rigs that appear to be older than 64 and 69 (mind you, I'm not asking to see their ID either), but if you can afford it and you're in good health, hey why not be a bit more comfy in the evenings??

My question is: How old will you be if you don't get one? In other words, GO FOR IT!

I agree with all above ,,, GO FOR IT !! I know it is easy for us to spend your money but if it is something you still love doing and can still handle the set up and break down, than do it. If you go threw life wondering what if ,,, I believe you would be upset in the long run. Good Luck and Happy Camping,,,, Joe
