Funny you should ask Chris...was able to get to the scales yesterday and here's what I've got!

TV GWVR 9200 RAWR 6900 and Tires (E rated) 6400

TV loaded to the gills actual and without 5er 7680

GCWVR 22800 Actual 20240 (again loaded up...all fluids and my stuff

Actual TV (attached) 9740 and rear axle actual 5440

Pin weight 2060

Now for all you purists out there let the flaming begin! I am very comfortable with these numbers. I spent alot of time with my GM dealershsip (this is a small town and I know them well) who in turn called a tech specialist at GM and assured me my 2500 is safely pulling this fifth wheel.

I am putting airbags in the back. While you can't see with the naked eye any lift in the front of the TV, I know its there ever so slightly because my headlights are up a little. So, airbags should fix that!

Let the flaming begin! Can't wait to go camping this weekend!!!

That is a really light pin weight for a trailer that size. What was the weight of the trailer axles? And yes air bags will be good. You should get the dealers word in writing, then go for it. I can not flame you, as I as over GVWR also, but my state licenses my 2500 to 12K.

I agree it is really light...I was expecting a little more and closer to 22000 combined weight. Trailer was 10440 which is also super light compared to the quoted specs from mfg! Went to a CAT scale at a local truck stop. Your state licenses your trucks weight? Weird.

A question for you though. My trucks tires call for 80 psi. My sensors in the truck want them at 70. When loaded should I tow with them at 80? What about the fronts? Sensors want them at 63-64. Should they be increased as well? Will that make a difference in my headlights? Still gonna get the air bags though.

You should have a tire load chart with the owners papers. Front weight will hardly change at all. I never change my fronts. 57-58 in 265/75R16 good for 3415 each. In the rears I run 42-44 empty and 70 or so with 2500-2600 lbs of pin weight. Do you have 265's or 245's? If 245's I would run 80lbs. 265's do not need the much.
