We are currently in Northern CA (Fort Bragg) heading north to Oregon (then Canada/ALaska) and looking for some good suggestions for RV Parks in OR to stay at. Have a 40' and would like full hookups. Any suggestions welcome.

For sure Winchester Bay RV Park. About 30 miles South of Florence. It is at the mouth of the Umpqua river. The park is on a point of land with water on three sides. Probably the nicest RV park we have ever seen. It is near dunes where offroad riding is allowed but NO ORV's are allowed in the park. Real nice walking beach about 1/4 mile south of the park.
They have a web site.
Fort Stevens State Park at the mouth of the Columbia River.
Also has a web site.
This late reservations may be a problem at both.

Brooking has a really simple but fantastic views county run park right at the harbor. Winchester Bay is beautiful. Just North of Newport there is one of those MH exclusive joints that used to be pretty nice until they got snooty and refused us trailer trash types. Ft Stevens state park or the KOA right at the entrance to Ft Stevens. If you get to Ft Stevens be sure to allow at least one day to explore the old military fort, and also Ft Clatsop (Lewis and Clark's winter home).

Finally able to camp again after a two year hiatus.

Astoria/Warrenton KOA at Ft. Stevens entrance gets too noisy for us.

Hi!
"Search": Go to "Oregon Campgrounds". There will be a list of most of the campgrounds in Oregon.

It would help if you gave a little more information:
1. how many miles or hours do you like to drive each day
2. state parks VS priviate parks
The Oregon coast RV parks and especially the State Parks are in great demand in the summer months and you really would have to start making reservations now.

This might help. Midway in Coos Bay is nice. We have been to the coast many times and we rarely make reservations. Kind of fun just finding a park. There are plenty of them. Usually 2 or 3 near every coastal town.

Thanks for all the responses. We have no set plans and like it that way, can drive 50 or 500 miles per day. Advice on what's worth visiting is also appreciated, thinking about doing some white water rafting at out next stop or so. We have two kids 10 & 12!
