John -- this is DEFINATELY something you need to document in a very concise way and file a complaint with the attorney general. They may be able to help you get it straightened out with you hiring an attorney. BTW - when you send a letter to the AG, send a copy to your attorney (if you have one) AND to Ollinger and the bank.....don't hesitate. They'll probably start jumping thru hoops to help you out! Good luck and keep us posted.
John, I agree the AG from the great State of Oregon should handle this matter. Rooster

From recent press releases from AIP (New owners of Fleetwood motorized products):

"The sale includes two motorhome manufacturing facilities, two motorhome service facilities, and Fleetwood’s Gold Shield supply subsidiary, all presently located in Decatur, Ind. It also includes the intellectual property for Fleetwood’s existing motorhome brands and certain machinery and equipment in Riverside, Calif. AIP may operate the Riverside facility for an undetermined period of time going forward. AIP has agreed to assume certain liabilities, including warranty obligations on Fleetwood motorized products."

Looks to me like your Fleetwood warranty will be honored now that AIP has purchased the MH division.

This economic downturn has been accompanied by a downturn in competency in all industries as experienced, well compensated staff are laid off and less competent people fail at doing the job that is required

Sorry about your troubles, I hope that you get everything straightened out.

Fleetwood IS HONORING their warranties on new rv model years 2007 through 2009. This came directly from the new VP's mouth. I would call Fleetwood direct and complain to them.

I am sorry for your problem. However, you relied on verbal statements that are not binding. You believed what salespeople told you, and since it is not in writing, it has no relevance. Regarding the pay off, the dealer did not make a mistake with the boat loan. Your bank did. The dealer sent money to the bank for the pay off and the bank applied it to the wrong loan.

The only part I don't understand is how is it Camping World fault that Your Bank paid off the wrong loan. They paid off the vehicle they had the title on but it's your bank that applied it to the wrong loan.
I would also be on the phone with the new Fleetwood company since they have said in print that they will honor the warranties on the new vehicle purchases. If they won't then you go to the company you have the extended warranty with the documentation from Fleetwood that there is no warranty and have them step up to paying for the repairs.
As far as the dealership you always get everything in writing no matter what they say verbally. I would have never signed that waiver and gave it back.

Lemon laws do not apply for situations like this. Lemon laws DO NOT apply because there is miscommunication/Fraud/financial problems/lack of warranty support.
Fleetwood has NEVER not honored Motorhome warranties, regardless of their Financial situation. Fleetwood Towable warranties were voided on 03/09/09 when Fleetwood shut down all towable plants and discontinued towables. Fleetwood motorhome division had about 30 days from 03/09/09 tp 04/09/09 when "technically" they could not honor motorhome warranties because they had to petition the bankruptcy court for permission to pay for warranties. Which the court allowed. Doug

Wow....wait a mess.. I really feel for you, but I also really appreciate the info. We own an old Fleetwood, and DH has actually been looking at Pace Arrows (he likes the exterior lines)....we will now just mark Fleetwood off the "possibles" list.

My step father is still waiting on a check that Olinger's said was being sent for a refund. It's been almost a year. He says he knew it wouldn't come, they agreed to easily about the issue.

I would call AIP, and get the real answer straight from the horse's mouth.

Sorry to hear about this mess. I would contact the Better Business Bureau, and the Atty Gen. Make sure you have everything documented. I don't usually suggest anyone get a lawyer involved but this may be a situation where it would help. The lines of communication have already broken down so why not. good luck

You can also file a small claims action against them, depending on the parameters set up by your court system
