How about sending a copy of your topic in this forum to Olinger's? Might get their attention.

Your upset because Fleetwood warranties are being honored ????? Believing a scammer from CW instead of AIP press releases ???
OP wrote that the dealership first told him Fleetwood would cover their warranty...but then made him sign a waiver stating that Fleetwood did not honor warranty...
Here's what press release said on June 25:
The sale includes two motorhome manufacturing facilities, two motorhome service facilities, and Fleetwood’s Gold Shield supply subsidiary, all presently located in Decatur, Ind. It also includes the intellectual property for Fleetwood’s existing motorhome brands and certain machinery and equipment in Riverside, Calif. AIP may operate the Riverside facility for an undetermined period of time going forward. AIP has agreed to assume certain liabilities, including warranty obligations on Fleetwood motorized products.
The companies expect the deal to close within a matter of weeks.

So yes, as far as I can see, Fleetwood is not currently honoring warranties and probably won't for many, many weeks...which for the OP is a real PITA....so I will stick by my previous post in that we will have to think pretty hard about buying a Fleetwood product again. If and when Fleetwood/AIP steps up to the plate and honors ALL warranties, and "back dates" and honors those warranties of Motorhomes that were purchased during the bankruptcy/selling/takeover phase, then we might reconsider.

And note that in a short amount of time there has been nearly 700 views of the post, which means about 700 will not ever consider them for a new purchase.

They may be able to help you get it straightened out with you hiring an attorney. BTW - when you send a letter to the AG, send a copy to your attorney (if you have one) AND to Ollinger and the bank.....don't hesitate. They'll probably start jumping thru hoops to help you out! Good luck and keep us posted. John, I agree the AG from the great State of Oregon should handle this matter. Rooster
I guess I don't know about Oregon, but I have tried the Ag thing in Minnesota and New York.....What a complete waist of time...

Quote: Regarding the pay off, the dealer did not make a mistake with the boat loan. Your bank did. The dealer sent money to the bank for the pay off and the bank applied it to the wrong loan.
Reading through all the posts I thought there were TWO DIFFERENT banks involved. See the OP original post and also this follow up

There were two banks involved. They processed the wrong loan. As far as the bank was concerned it was a ligitimate payoff of the boat. The other bank for the old motor home was out of the loop until I found out and contacted them. All I want is the extra two months payments I made on that old motor home after they took delivery of it. If they had done their job right those payments would have never been made. (auto deduction from my account) Thanks to everyone for some great advise. I am going to contact CEO first and see if he can refund my paltry $612.00 for those payments. Not too much cost for them to keep good will.

I suspect that maybe Olinger like most of the MH business is near beibg broke and hangs on to every penney. I hope you get your $$ before you have to stand in line behind a bunch of other folks. Doing business with nearly any firm now is an opportunity to be very careful. I think trust has gone away.

My wife got a call from a Bruce Young, Regional Vice President for Camping World RV Sales. He was very apologetic and will be sending us a refund. She said he was very nice, wants to keep our business and said Fleetwood's new owners will be honoring the warranties. I am still a little skeptical but when I see the check I will be writing a glowing report. I know some of these corporate officers see the world of customer relations sometimes more realistic way than the workers who tend to forget in a sales transaction exactly who represents the overhead and who represents the profits for the company. I don't think that finance manager is ever going to get it. He called me the other day and just started ragging on me so bad I hung up on him. Oh well, some get it and some don't.
