On our first trip with our TT it was suggested we get a site with sewer. We were glad we did. Your first time dumping the tanks will be a lot easier to do, since you will be in a situation where you won't feel rushed if someone is waiting behind you. You can take your time to "learn" the process at your convenience, and if you have a problem just ask your neighbor. Most rv'ers are happy to help out. Have fun.

If you get the sewer site this time out, you'll know about how long you can go before having to dump, and you'll get the practice dumping at a slower pace so you'll be better prepared for going to a dump site in the future.
Retired and visiting as much of this beautiful country as I can.

The one camp we were at that allowed that REQUIRED that you have a special cap on your drain that connected to a standard garden hose. So only the garden hose was connected to the gray water sewer drain. You could NOT use your 3" stinky slinky.
If you accidentally pull the wrong valve with one of those caps on, I believe it will be pretty messy. (Unless you have a macerator on board.)

P.S. And by the way, if you don't happen to have one of those caps that adapts the 3" drain to a garden hose fitting, they will be happy to sell you one.

Camping in the N.E. I have seen a lot of macerator pumps. There is a campsite in Utica that is graywater only.

Get the full hook ups then watch your tank capacities and see how long you can go before you must dump. Then you'll have a better idea for the next trip if you need full hookups or not.

I would recommend full hookups. Breaking camp to go dump the tanks doesn't sound like fun.
