Regarding our '96 Bounder F53 Chassis 2 Roof A/C's
First day plugged into 30 amp service both worked in 110* heat. Next 2 days only rear unit worked and front wouldn't turn on unless generator was turned on. Any suggestions? Thanks for your help!

Check any and all circuit breakers and fuses.

The manual on my 1995 f53, reccomends running 1 a/c at a time on 30 amp. It does not say which a/c you can run. I can run both a/c on 50 amp or the generator. You probably tripped a breaker.

Same as the last two posts. I didn't think you could run both at the same time on 30 amp. You could on gen, but you may have a special switch in the bedroom that needs to be in the right position for 30 amp for front or back. On mine, down is for back, up is for front and the middle is off. The up position is also for both when you are on gen.

At any rate, turn the switches at the gen first off then on. Check all the breakers and fuses. There is also a time delay from when you turn one on and then the other. Also a delay from when you turn one off then on because pressure needs to be released from condensors.

You need to look at the manual. You may also have an energy management system that disconnects when below 110 volts in order to prevent compressor damage.

With our MH, which is 30 amp, we can run both AC's. The energy management system allows this. First we turn on the front unit, then after 5 or so minutes turn on the back unit. However, virtually nothing else will run. The fact that it will run on the generator, tells me that he has popped a circuit breaker/fuse. Not necessarily a big issue. Simply reset, and try again.

Thank you everyone! We appreciate this information as this is our 1st MH. We are going to check fuses and breakers now....

okay... All fuses and breakers are working. Our front air is STILL not working without the gen running. Doesn't the power to A/C come through same breaker? Why would Gen run A/C and 30 amp not run A/C????

Do you have the 3 way switch? If so, and it is not in the up position, it will only run the back on shore power. And only the front in the up position.

I had a 95 bounder on a P30 Chassis & thier was a selector switch for front or back a/c. Both would run on the gen. Good Luck

All A/C Controls are ran through Intellitec Climate Control System which monitors the power used throughout the MH and alternates between front & rear air accordingly. Panel indicates A/C is running although it is not running. However, will run as soon as gen is started. We're stumped ???? Your help is certainly appreciated!
