100-110 foot pounds and before every trip during the checkout.

15" steel wheels with 8 lugs on your 5er ?? WOW, give us more info. What is the wheels max pressure rating ??

Most 8 lug steel wheel torque up into the 130-150 ft lb range as your F250 truck.

How often ?? First time torque on new wheels I would re-torque after the first 500 miles. After that depends on your paying attention to the equipment with routine wheel/tire checks when refueling or potty breaks.

Don't think I ever saw 15" wheels with 8 lugs. My 5,200lb axles came with 6 lugs and 15" D rated tires and calls for 110lb torque on the lug nuts.

Spec on my trailer (6 lugs are 90 to 100#. Mine are 1/2" studs. And it is recommended NOT to oil the studs.

I hand torque mine to 100lbs than check after a few hundred miles, after that they are left alone untill I check my brakes at 12,000 miles. I didn't say adjust I do this at 3,000 miles.
