Tundras, as most of you know, are not blessed with ample carrying capacity. In that regard, I know that the TT tounge weight, hitch weight, passengers and cargo weight must be deducted from the TV's listed carring capacity. What I don't know and would appreciate feed-back on is: (1) do I deduct the weight of the driver and (2) the weight of a full tank of gasoline? Thanks for any advice...

The best advise I can give you is as follows.....
1 Go weigh your Tundra. Record the weight
2 Look at GVWR on your door sticker. Record your weight.
3 Subtract your curb weight (from scale) from your GVWR (on your door sticker.
4 The total weight left is your capacity. This includes you, gas, your DW, your dog, your wood, your hitch, your tongue weight, and whatever else you plan on putting on the TRUCK or in the TRUCK. You will be surprised when you get these numbers. It is a lot lower than you think. Welcome to the wonderful world of 1/2 ton trucks with jacked up tow ratings and no carrying capacity. If you have a full tank of gas and you are sitting in the truck when it is weighed, this is included in your #1 weight.
