I have two questions regarding air conditioners.
1. Which model is the quietest?
2. Are there any models that do not run continually but instead turn off once the designated temperature is achieved like an a/c in a house?
We have a roof top, non-vented a/c in our motor home. It is very noisy and the fan runs continually even after the compressor itself shuts off because the set temp is reached.
Thanks

The ducted, remote controlled, Carrier in my rig can run either way, fan cycles with compressor or fan runs all the time. Your choice. I don't know if they do that for non-ducted units.

I've had both and don't remember the non-ducted fan turning off. The non-ducted seemed to cool a lot better.

Non-ducted units that don't use a wall thermostat, don't have a fan that cycles with the compressor. The fan runs continuously.
