I am planning a four night stay in Lake Havasu City to take in a fishing tournament. Looking at staying at Crazy Horse Campgrounds. Any comments or other suggestions? Thanks in advance for your replies. Jack

We like to stay at Sandpoint marina and R.V. park.
it has full hook-ups and boat launch.

Personally, we thought it was expensive and small sites. Facilities were nice, though.

There are a lot nicer and pleasanter places to stay than Crazy Horse around LHC.
Islander's RV Park, Sand Point Marina & RV Park, Cattail Cove Campground and Boat Launching (A State Park, very nice) are a few and there are several more in the phone book and on the net.
Frankly, after two different stays at Crazy Horse I would never go back again.

Thank you all for your input. I couldn't find anything on the Internet Roger on Cattail Cove Campground. Do you have a site for them or an address and phone number?

OK, this is the fact Jack,
The key is where the fishing tournament is headed out of. I suspect it will be at the bridge. Sandpoint and Cattail are to far away. There is another State Park just north of the Island where you can camp, and they have boating facilities (Windsor State Beach). I think there are three on the Island, Crazy Horse, Islander, and an older park that escapes me, all have water access.
If you have never stayed at Crazy Horse you should do it at least once. CRA has a park in town about 5 minutes from a launch ramp; it is also a Coast-to-Coast park.
Get your gas on land and catch the big one!
Have fun
Paul
PS I will be the one in the 30’ Nordic screwing up the calm water, just kidding I always give you guys a wide berth!
for Cattail or Windsor you need to look up Arizona State Parks, I will be in Havasu on Sunday if you need any more info

Cattail Cove phone number is 928-855-1223 and Paul is correct it is a few miles south of the London Bridge. I live about 4 miles south of London Bridge and can be at Cattail in about 5 or 10 minutes from my home. They have power, water and a dump station (no sewer hook ups at the indvidual sites). It's has clean showers, plenty of water, laundry, fish cleaning station and a beautifully done launching facility.
If you're going to participate in the fishing derby by all means you will want to be close to the action. Meaning, Crazy Horse, Islanders or one of the other close in spots.
If not you may just like Cattail Cove and it's only about a 20 to 30 minute run by boat (+/-) to the bridge from Cattail Cove.
Have a happy trip no matter where you end up.

HEY RCHONLY,
I tried to send an e-mail to you about this topic but it failed...twice. Perhaps you could send an e-mail to me so that I can confirm your address.
Thanks,
Gary
