Hello DaveH:
I have an 2002 F250 4X4 supercab short bed PSD and I just weighed it yesterday with a full tank, myself and my wife (300lbs total, my two kids (110lbs total) and the fiver hitch (165lbs.) The magic number was 7600lbs. Take away the people and hitch, were at approx. 7000 lbs.

I tow the Cardinal 33TS with an F350 Crewcab Powerstroke longbed dually. At one time I towed this rig with an F250 which I felt was undersized for my trailer. I have just added Firestone air springs to my F350, not for added weight capability but to level the tow vehicle. I found on both the F250 and F350, that the vehicle squats enough to affect headlight alignment. On the F350, the squat is enough to contribute to an alignment problem when towing. The air springs are a cost effective solution for leveling the truck.
