Does anyone know of a good campground near New Braunfels, Texas, that also has cabins or other accomodations for non-RVers? We would like to take our trailer and camp, but not all of our friends have them.

Blanco SP is not too far from New Braunfels. They don't have cabins but they do have screen houses to rent. Very beutiful park. Have a site:

I know of one, but it's not all that close. Maybe 45-60 minute drive but it's in a nice area and right on the Guadalupe River. It's called the Guadalupe River RV Resort on Hwy 27 between Kerrville and Ingram. Nice area (but of course I live here!). They have a first class RV park and a number of cabins of various sizes and configurations to rent. Lots of "stuff" (pools, etc..) and close, but not too close, to town. From here you are in the middle of the "Hill Country" and can go through other nice places like Fredericksburg and Boerne. Sorry - that all I can contribute.

We're going down to New Braunfels to float the Comal in September. Had planned on staying with family in San Antonio, but some in our group have little ones who need to nap mid-day so we're now hoping to camp close to the river. Does anyone have any experience with Landa RV and Campground? So many of the private campgrounds are just big parking lots. Is there someplace better thats close to the river and has trees?
Thanks for your help!

You might try Huaco (Waco) Springs cg. It is on the Guadalupe just outside NB. They are fixing the place up with concrete sites. I beliee that they still have cabins if the floods didn't get them.
Landa Park is ok in a pinch. It is a nice park but the cg is not top notch. Things pretty much shut down in Sept. so you might have the place to yourself.
Contact New Braunfels CC they would help.
