I have a 31ft TT. Looking at getting a generator for times when we go camping and there is no power. We have a 15,000 BTU A/C and all the other little stuff. I am really looking at the Honda EU300is. It is one of their super quite one but was wondering if anyone had used one or any other reccomendation for one. Thanks

I think you mean 3000 rather than 300 and if that is the case, it puts out 25 amps and will probably work great for your application. To be sure, total up the amperage draw of the air conditioner to include starting amperage and any other appliances you would expect to have running at the same time. If your calculations don't esceed 25 amps, then you're ok. I don't have experience with this Honda Generator but they have a reputation for being top of the line and very quiet when compared to other name brand generators. I would not hesitate buying any Honda generator as long as it is sufficient to carry the load.

I use the Honda Generator, it holds 60 Hz with varing loads, its quiet, easy to start and good on fuel. Costs more, but look at it like purchasing oats... If you want good oats, they cost. If you want them after they go through the horse, thay are a lot cheaper!

We have used our Honda EU3000is generator for two seasons now and it has performed very well. We get a lot of comments about how quiet it is and you can hold a normal conversation while standing next to it. It should run your A/C without much problem.

I would consider buying two of the EU-2000's. The cost would be comparable to one EU-3000 but the weight would be considerably less. The down side is the cable to connect them in pricey, $240 on the Mayberry's site. You'd only need both when the AC was needed, otherwise just 1 probably would be sufficient, at least for me it would.

I have a 5000 watt Honda I've used the past 2 seasons to power the lights, etc. in my race car trailer. It works flawlessly, and is fairly quiet, like that matters at the races. Hard to beat a Honda, except maybe with a hammer!

We carry a 5k Honda on our Rescue Unit at the Fire Department...We looked at all other generators before buying the Honda..Works great, easy to start, and is fairly quiet...If I was to buy one, it would be a Honda.

Have had this one for about 8 years on Rescue and has never failed us.

Happy Trails
