Q. I recently purchased a motorhome powered by a V-8 gasoline engine with 68,000 miles, and it runs well. If I switch to synthetic oil will I run the risk of oil leaks?

A. Synthetic oil does not generally cause leaks. When synthetic oils first came out many years ago, some oil seals were not compatible with it. However, that has been remedied and is no longer the case.
