Easter Camping Offers Family Fun
Campgrounds Feature Easter Activities

Spring is quickly approaching and Easter will be upon us even earlier than it was last year. So why not celebrate Easter with a family camping trip?

“Several private campgrounds and RV parks and resorts are planning Easter activities, including daytime and nighttime Easter egg hunts,” said Debbie Sipe, executive director of the California Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds.

So far, the biggest event appears to be slated for Newport Dunes Waterfront RV Resort and Marina in Newport Beach, which will host its third annual Easter egg hunt on Saturday, April 3rd, with more than 6,000 candy and toy-filled Easter eggs.

Here’s a sampling of other California parks that are planning fun Easter related events for families with children:

  • Campland on the Bay in San Diego: This park will host an Easter egg hunt at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 3rd.

  • Manchester Beach / Costanoa KOA: This park will have several Easter related activities April 2nd to 4th, including an Easter egg coloring contest and an Easter egg hunt.

  • Marina Dunes RV Park in Marina: this park will have its 4th annual Easter egg hunt on Sunday, April 4th.
